A housing estate for Chavs with their own schools. What an excellent idea.
Not workable in Medway though as this is Chav Central.

I was in the Trafford Centre with my 6 year old daughter when she piped up "Mum, can I have my ears pierced?" I whirled around ready to explain about chavs, scruffs, bodily mutilation and infections and said with a frown "why do you want your ears pierced?"..........."cos you get a free lolly!!!" was the reply  ....it was pretty easy to talk her out of itJust run, run and keep on running!0

i don't think the housing estate was designed to contain the chavs, it just happened that way. it's a housing association estate. there are plenty of housing association houses and council houses in the main town, it's just that the only chavs seem to live on the out of town estate. i saw my uncle in asda though and he says my teenage cousin is a chav, he lives around the corner, so maybe chav-dom is hitting the local high schools  i also noticed one of my avon customers wearing so much chunky gold jewellery her ears trailed the floor, and she had one of those ragdoll necklaces, and a clown one too. the invasion is starting ...52% tight0 -
Chav or not, the first time i saw these bands springing up on baby girls heads i worried about the safety aspect. Lets face it, they aint gonna stay on their little heads long enough to be pretty, all it takes is it to slip round the neck, then the tot to get caught on something....... it just upsets me to think about it.
I hate to see babies and children draped in gold too - it just looks sooooo Chav (especially when they have a dirty face and runny nose).:rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
eek, i didn't think about the safety aspect.
i did ask about safety when my friend's 9 month old was wearing her gold necklace, but she said it's the usual in the father's culture (sri lanka).52% tight0 -
I live near a town that is chav city - fantastic fun to observe, but pretty depressing too. I've never seen so many pound shops in one place...
My 5 year old talks about 'chavscum' music (don't think she knows what it means!) and we have chavscum Barbie (gold belly chain, enormous earrings, brown outlined pumped up lips, white blonde hair, very long legs and bursting out of her clothes. She's also called Trailer Trash Barbie. She also recently chose what I thought were a very chavvy pair of trainers, but fortunately they were substandard so went back to Clarks and they gave me a new nicer pair!
Burberry must be mortified that the once incredibly expensive and exclusive brand is so common now!0 -
i don't know what chavscum music is, what do chavs listen to? that barbie sounds hilarious. i once saw a similar 'council estate' barbie on ebay, it was a pregnant one and already had a baby. we live on a council estate, it just doesn't seem to have any chavs. my son has very chav taste in trainers, he likes them to be white, i've tried to steer him away but to no avail. his most recent pair are worse than usual, they're actually 'nike' he's got really wide feet and clarkes didn't have any G fitting, a chav woman next to us (she'd gone in for school shoes and was REALLY angry at her son for wanting clarkes trainers too, she wanted him to have 'lacoste' ones lol!) suggested the sports shop because they had a sale on, and lo and behold the only pair of trainers to fit him were nike - they were half the price of clarkes ones so i suppose at least io'm moneysaving even if i did buy a bran i swore i'd never buy :rotfl:52% tight0
