Nice to see you once again Delly and nice looking pooch, surely a decent shave will rid you of a dripping doggy? :rotfl:

See, suggs - that's where you show your knowledge of cocker spaniels.... she has huge and very hair paws - it's not her coat that brings in the muck - it's her feet.... but it's ok. She already stops at the door when coming inside to get her paws dried - one smart doggie.

...Thanks for the lovely pics delly, I know it's easy for me to say but I'm glad that you've decided to keep her, she's adorable. Are all coal buckets as posh as yours in Norn Iron? That one's good enough for me to do my shopping in :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:(v nice to see a clearer photo of you too :T ) ...
    ..

Thanks pet -No, not all coal buckets in Norn Iron are that posh - just mine cos I am ..(posh that is!) can you not see how I can't even be bothered to clean my back door! That's how posh I am!:rotfl:

the basket was actually meant to be a plant pot (or a cover for a plant pot) we bought it in a shop called Au Naturel but had always planned to keep turf and blocks of wood in it for burning in our open fire, and up until 2 weeks ago that's what it was used for. But OH bought coal and put that in instead .... being a wicker basket, the coal dust went everywhere which is why the thing was chucked outside.

Oh and you're welcome (re: the clearer photo ) - Mrs "I'd rather hide behind a wine glass than show my face" If we ever do eventually arrange a meet, I'll know how to find you..... Propping up the bar or with a glass superglued to your face.:rotfl:

  • Delly – what a lovely photo of you. It’s nice to see all of you. You don’t look like your bmi is 37 at all. Perhaps sasha is cunningly arranged. She is sooo gorgeous I want one. Not very practical for me but I’ve intermittantly hankered after a dog since my famous five faze many moons ago.
Bails, although painful, I hope having made a decision you can relax into it:grouphug: : indecision is very exhausting and I appreciate only too well how hard it is to chose what’s best vs what you want. As for my weekend plans, given my bro’s ‘thoughtful’ xmas pressie, I could always use his book to walk the south downs way:rotfl: . Other than that, the forecast tomorrow is for sunshine, so we are thinking of driving to Seaford (20 mins east of B)to sit and look at the sea (from inside the car obviously) like 2 old peeps and take a wee picnic. I think a change of scene will be good for my morale.
Suggs, it is very hard not to congratulate you, particularly as you are not borderline underweight so not hopefully reaching a danger zone. But I’ll resist (well done really). Good luck with the balancing act this week. Hope your time with ds is extra good.
Pooh, well done for maintaining considering you’ve felt poorly. Poor you. Hope the dr had something helpful to say.
Poor kpc too. Hope you really feel better soon. Sorry you’ve had to miss the lecture – sounds very interesting.
I've definitely been doing a bit of comfort eating yesterday and today. But not as much as I might of done if I wasn't generally back on plan. No guilt though, coping with too much at the moment to feel that. Can't wait for the picnic:j . I love picnics. Might even allow myself the 1st packet of crisps in 8 months :D

Yep - I don't look like my bmi is 37 and that's the problem. I think if I looked as big as I weigh, I wouldn't have become this big in the first place.... Fortunate in one respect, tragic in another.

Hope you have a lovely day looking at the sea tomorrow. Definitely have that packet of crisps. You deserve it after the last few weeks. (remember your frozen jaw?) Sometimes I wonder if it isn't just as well that we carry a little bit of extra weight for those times when we are so ill - like yourself and KPC at the minute that we just can't eat.???

  • Very interesting looking website here that campaigns on food waste: how to make meals out of left overs to save food waste and therefore your money - very mse. Also looks at correct portions for many foods depending on how many you are cooking for.

Brighton belle: That sounds heaventastic! I love the sea, im glad to be surrounded by it in kent. Hastings is my favourite sea, caught a crab there for my 21st haha. I bloody know how to live!

Dancing was fab, the jive is so groovy. Came home and drunk a green tea because its yummy and now i'll have to leave soon to pick up the boyfriend!

good site BB. had a look at the recipes but only liked 1 from pages one and two. Im sure when i get older and move out i will need a site like this. Although maybe not, cooking a meal for a man who doesnt like vegtatbles and myself who isnt fussed about most foods will result in only a few meals being cooked in rotation :p

On that site i looked at the portion calculator. I said i wanted to make mash potato for 5 people and it told me i needed 10 heaped tablespoons of mash!

How silly is that? I wanted to know how many potatoes i would need for 5 people not how many tablespoons at the end of the process, i may have wasted the remainding 2 tablespoons worth!
  • Hi, I'm new to this thread but thought it would help to keep me motivated. I'm a yo-yo dieter. In Feb 2006 I weighed 15st 1lb and I went on a diet. I lost weight slowly but by last May I weighed 10st 10lbs. Quite liked my size then but got complacent and what with holidays, Christmas, New Year and eating too much rubbish I was back up to 13st 3lb. Started WW last Thursday and at my weigh in last night I had lost 7lb's. I was so chuffed as I hadn't got to the gym due to problems with my daughters behaviour so wasn't expecting much. I want to lose another 28lbs by August. Here's hoping. I'll keep you updated on my progress.:D
