why have my emial notifictaions stopped working for this thread? i had just decided i was bored of the internets and had nothign to do when i remembered i had not been here yet.
and reading on the treadmill :O if i so much as try to turn my head and talk to my friend i fall off.
according to my scales yesterday morning i had gained weight, yesterday evenign i had lost, a differenc eof 5lbs. i can understand it fluctuating by a pound or two but 5? shall weigh at the gym next time i go and take whatever it says as fact though.0 -
Well I think the clouds are finally lifting.... at last!!
Well, I dont want you all to collapse in shock here but - Ive been at the gym EVERY DAY this week
Ok so its not a big long intense programme Im doing, at the moment its just the treadmill but Im increasing my speed every day and now am at a VERY brisk walking speed. Its perfect! I know it maybe doesnt seem much but considering this time last year I could literally barely walk the length of myself without being knackered, its a huge achievement for me.
Exercise has been a real stumbling block for me, DVDs bore me rigid, and its just not the weather for going out walks, beside my shifts make that kind of awkward a lot of the time. So it occured to me the other day, we have a brand new state of the art gym at work!!!
Ive been there every day since Monday and have decided that Ill go every day Im working and then can have my days off with a clear concience. So basically Ill go for 7 days in a row then have 2 days off. I dont know why I didnt think of it sooner.
Im hoping, well planning to build from my walking to using the rowing machine or bike or something but Ill be sensible.
I want to be able to say hand on heart that Im doing EVERYTHING I possibly can to get this weight off, and Im actually quite enjoying the regular exercise, its almost like the diet, a real sense of achievement every day.
Actually when I told my pal the other day he said he reckons this will be EXACTLY like my diet, now Ive had another 'click' he says he can see me being just as dedicated to exercising - lets hope so:cool:0 -

Well kymrob :T and well done starlight :T exercise can definately become addictive. When I moved areas and had to leave my gym I really did get withdrawal symptoms! If I could have taken anything with me from where I used to live it would have been my gym and my instructors - I was really upset when I had to leave them and still haven't found a gym that I feel the same about
but must keep trying
