    Morning everyone,

Going to brave the gym today for the first time for nearly 2 years:eek: Got it in mind to use the treadmill for a while then maybe do some weights then a swim, sauna and jacuzzi to round off!!

Hope you all have a good day :A

    Morning all and morning mum.

Take it easy in the gym, not sure of the one your going to, but perhaps it is better to make them aware its been two years and perhaps they could sort you out a program?? Otherwise, dont overdo it, aim to get yourself nicely out of breath but not panting like a dog! The aim is to finish with the thought that next time you can do it again and perhaps improve on it - Not OMG I am so not going in that torture chamber again :)

Yes all week two of work madness has completed, working from home today, only have some calls to do.

Granny - Can you put me down for a 1lb loss please, not sure how, as the week has been mental, hopefully normal service will be resumed later??

Read time to get sorted and have a read of all your posts :)

  • bails - have pm'd you about the meet.

Vix, I don;t think it's odd to get excited about going away in Britain. I really do think we live in the beautiful country in the world - we have cities, mountains, wild moors, twee villages . . . . almost everything! I know the weather can often be nicer abroad but I wouldn't want to be anywhere but here. It's just a shame that so many fo the people in the UK are horrid now - a walk through leeds city centre ( or castleford) makes me totally understand those individuals who take a high powered rifle to the top of the nearest church tower.

It looks like my household budget is going to be put under sever pressure over the next little while. I was unloading the washing machine last night and discovered a wire missing from one of my bras - unfortunately OH can't retrieve it from the drum so I'm hoping to get someone out to have a look and see if they can get it out or cross our fingers and hope that the machine won't explode or break down until I get past the end of march at the earliest.

The very same thing happened to me a couple of years ago and fortunately nothing untoward has happened to the machine since, so hopefully delly, it'll be the same for you too fingerscrossedhe9.gif ...

...Well done mumoftwins :j great result :j ...Suggs too :j ...

...Mixed feelings re the meet  Depends where and when etc., also, last year OH's were to accompany and I would find it diifficult to travel anywhere without MrP unless he could take me and drop me off; not to mention the mere thought of walking into a place full of strangers on my own  (that is another of his uses :D )I have huge problems that way at the best of times and at the moment it's   . However a weekend at a spa sounds so ooooooooooooooooh yeeeeeeeah! :D ...

...Since reaching my lowest weight at the end of last year, I've noticed that my skin now seems to starting to 'fit' if you know what I mean :D I was in the shower and I just seemed to notice it. My thighs are a lot less flabby :j :j so hopefully this will continue :j , although I don't ever expect to be able to crack nuts with them :rotfl::rotfl: ...

I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

I wish my thighs weren;t so flabby, or rather the inside of them. The rest is nice and firm and well defined, but the inside!! Yuck!

    Thanks Suggs,

I will be careful - I'm only going as a guest on OH's gym membership (can't afford the fees!!) but if all goes well then I will go to the 'pay as you go' one in town. Have still got my original gym plan from when I used to go to Living Well (that was) 4/5 times a week - doubt I could manage an 1/8 of what I used to do!! But got to start somewhere and 15 mins on a walking on a treadmill and a gentle swim is start, isn't it:confused:

    Hi SuzyQu

Yes it was me wanting ideas for packed lunches. I have had to try and think what I have been having to eat there for a while ?

been having variety of things, beans on toast, uncle bens rice with weightwatchers country vegetable soup ( I don't like dry rice),

erm, yesterday I did a red day so brought in a ham sandwich (almost half a pig in it) and I have been following this with frozen fruit from Tesco (meant for smoothies) with a muller light over it.

Today, well, today is last Friday of month and it is chinese, but I am changing my usual order of special fried rice with curry sauce, to boiled rice with curry sauce (I will sin the sauce)

just thought id say hi and im in the same boat as everyone else and am currently losing weight :)

used to be 13.5 stone at my peak and was a gym rat going 5 times a week and was in great shape but as these things happen i got with my ex and let myself go and never really recovered to the tune of 20 stone. as of 2 weeks ago i stopped drinking altogether, changed my diet drastically and started back mma training and going to the gym. to be honest
im finding losing weight very easy as i have done it before and at the gym i know what works for me.

just thought id say, stick to it people it will be worth the hard work :)

    Hi bunter

I completely agree with you :j As you are doing so well and finding the going easy, please stay here with us and help inspire some who don't find it as easy as you do :T. I look forward to reading more from you :D ...

  • Hi Nessa

Sounds like you have a good variety going there.

I have been taking in salads with tinned salmon, tuna or sometimes egg. Have managed to give up the mayo and now have salad cream which is a little less fattening. And also take in low fat cereal bars for a snack. But it's all a bit the same if you know what I mean.

Also, I've taken in some Oatso Simple sachets in case of hunger emergencies. never tried them but told they fill you up.

There's always chocolate and pringles and stuff lying around at work so I have to have something there otherwise I've beeen known to raid the pringles when no one is around. :o

I quite like rice (not a fan of pasta) so I could take something in a box to heat up actually as we have a microwave, or baked potato........or soup.......... actually may just try that next week. Thanks Nessa!

Your rice and curry sauce sounds really nice...... it's making me hungry now.:D
