Ajax - I will scan over the weekend and PM it to you! Anyone else wanting any of the places let me know! The Frankie & Bennies tips are that the portion sizes are big so get one to share and a salad to go with it or to ask for a dish from the lunch menu instead! The lowest point things are Crayfish Salad (4.5 points) or Warm Chicken Salad (7.5 points). I would stay well clear of meetballs (15 points), BBQ Chicken & Ribs (19 points), black & blue burger (22 points) and the potato skins starter has 12 points  and mushroom alfredo has 16 points  my two favourites!!!Started doing competitions: 08/10/2007, Won: Spiderman 3 DVD0 -
Victory, he's a teenager, you're a parent - you're there to embarrass him!
I'm sure he'll recover soon enough, there'll be something else to panic about later in the day (football result/rugby result/girl not talking to him/losing at computer game - take your pick!). Both me and my mum are on diets, and my grandmother who lives at home with us is diabetic, so food has always been quite tightly "controlled" at home. My little sister (little... she's 15 and taller than me these days lol) is built like a stick insect, and can eat for days and hardly ever seems to gain a lb! She has the occasional tantrum, but for the most part, she's fine with it all.
Bails, I think if you search their website, the accounts for any charity have to be publicly available (please don't quote me on that tho!), so should be online somewhere. The £12.50 probably covers admin and insurance - events like this are a pain to cover! If the charitable donation is a big part of it for you, you could always try collecting some sort of sponsorship as well?
Having a serious day of procrastination today. Am about half way through the presentation I need for Monday, and just can't bring myself to focus on it... Ho hum.**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**0 -
Andie, starters everywhere seem to be a real killer! Which is a shame, its normallymy favourite part**"Cheer up, it could get worse" - I cheered up, and look, it got worse!**0

Hi Everyone,
I am a newbie!! Hope you don't mind me jumping aboard your wagon (I've fallen off the wagon with my eating so many times, I just hope this one is fitted with seat belts!!!) I lost 8.5 stone 2 years ago, got to my goal weight, became a weight watcher leader, met a new man, life changed completly and i'm almost back to square one!, I weighed in last Wednesday at 17 stone 12 (needless to say I have given up being a leader but will happily help anyone if they need it)
I am my own worst enemy, I am a Chocoholic and crave all fatty foods, don't like salad although have started eating a salad made with spinich leaves, chicken, bacon and anything else festering in my fridge!!
Anyway if its ok with you I'd love to post my weight loss each week, but am thick skinned (Probably weighs about 6 stone!!!!) so if you don't want a newbie i'd understand!

Hi Julie!
Welcome to the board! An ex WW leader, that is so helpful, I just started ww yesterday and am already dorwning in points information!!! I am also a chocaholic so know how hard it is to avoid binging on a family size choc bar or box of roses on a weekend! Good luck with your weight loss i'm sure everyone on here will provide great support as they have with me! 8.5 stone is a massive loss and if you've done it once atleast you know you can do it again. I lost about 3 stone 7 years ago and it cept back up by half a stone in the first year than another stone over the next couple of years and in the last year and a half I have piled all the rest back on and a little more - oups!!! I was really careful in the first year after loss to loose any weight I gained but anyone like I said to you i've done it once so can do it again and this time I might learn!:oStarted doing competitions: 08/10/2007, Won: Spiderman 3 DVD0 -

To be honest I normally have a starter as I thought they were better for you than puddings which are my true favourite! From now on if i'm going to have a big treat and blow that many points it'll be on a yummy gooey chocolate pudding ummmmmmmmmStarted doing competitions: 08/10/2007, Won: Spiderman 3 DVD0 -

Thanks for the info about the Race for Life guys - my thinking was rather than pay the admin fee was to give the same amount to charity, plus any I can fundraise. I'm with you on the solidarity vs frustration factor. I think as I have to play it by ear so much, having a flexible date to achieve my 5k makes more sense; I would hate to pay the £12.50 and then not be able to complete it. So I'll aim to do it on Sunday 1st June (which is the same day as he Race for Life here) and if I'm not up to it I can do it that week on the week after.
Victory, I would echo what the others have said about your OH - he is simply being kind and understanding of your food issues so please don't feel guilty about it. It is no hardship for him to have the choccy bar or whatever away from you, and he's doing it because he cares that's all.
What really strikes me from your last post is the need for acceptance. I don't say this lightly or flippantly at all. In your words I can hear you fighting the restrictions that have been placed on you; I recognise this from my own situation (as I'm sure BB, Beanie etc can too). As I've said before it has taken me a long time and a lot of hard work to accept my current limitations; I'm not perfect, of course, and it does get too much sometimes, but I have come a long way, so if I can, so can you. Your food is my sport - I long to be outside, climbing mountains, running the fells, mountain biking with all my friends and it cuts me up that I can't. For a while I used to resist my limitations, think sod it and go and do something, then be bedbound for ages. For a really long time I used to bang my head against a brick wall of frustration that my best friend could live life at 110 miles an hour (as I did) and didn't get ill; it seemed so unfair. Eventually, I realised that there was a key difference between us - she slept soundly for 8-9 hours a night; I was lucky to get 3 interrupted hours. What I'm trying to say is that if you look closely, there will probably be reasons why you now suffer with diabetes ie there's a logical explanation. The next step is accepting it. You may not be able to eat (or in my case, do) the same things as other people, but you can have a little of those things in moderation. If you focus on what you can have/do, rather than what is lost to you, you will find much greater peace. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Yeah me too! The gooey chocolate pudding sounds yummy, the ones that melt in the middle are gorgeous!! Sometimes now though, I prefer to have savoury stuff so will have starter and main and no pud; strange!
I have been for a walk this afternoon, the first time in quite a while. The uphill was hard but I enjoyed it. I've come home and found one of my old exercise diaries, ripped out the last few remnants of its previous contents and started a new oneI'm going to pledge on here to try and work on my exercise so that I can establish a routine that is manageable and realistic; no half-marathons for me next month
