E-baying for honeymoon & wedding challenge!

Well as you wil see on wednesday if you watch Martin on "It pays to watch" then we already have a bunch of vouchers towards our honeymoon courtesy of Tesco club card vouchers. But I am wondering how much I can raise in the next 4ish months by e-baying stuff we no longer need!
I still have bridesmaid dresses to get and also considerable amounts for our honeymoon. So my ebay challenge begins! (and a good chance to declutter!)
I don't have a target amount as the more I earn the more we will spend on our once in a lifetime honeymoon
Tonight I listed 4 items and I am hoping to list 2-3 items a day so there will be some serious scavengering going on in my house!
Wish me luck and feel free to join me if you are doing the same for yours!

Hi,
Can I join please?
I listed my first few items last week and am waiting for them to finish tonight!
I was originally trying to pay for my dress but then fell in love with a pair of shoes so now have to double my efforts:eek:
Target is now £160 so nothing that doesn't move here will be safe.
Hopefully this will keep me motivated to keep listing as I started off with good intentions last year and then got fed up but the new listing tool is far quicker and easier to use than before. Will keep you posted on the current amount.
xxOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

I started Sunday, we have a serious wedding bill to aim for and have been talking about eBaying things for weeks... I have more things to list... Nothing is safe in this house either! (Or his house, he's gonna be digging stuff out and bringing it round which is great, less of his junk to move in :rotfl: )A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hi, I'm in.
Civil partnership 30th Oct 2009 and I plan to pay for EVERYTHING with MSE ideas - Quidco, Tesco vouchers, clickies, Ebays, surveys, you name it, I will be doing it. On top of that the ceremony/day itself will be as MSE as possible without compromising on what I want - I think my provisional budget is standing at £1500 at the moment and thats for a do for over 100 people, proper frock, photographer, the lot.
I'm blogging this as a way to keep me focused, I've got 20 months to go, I already have £100 in the kitty, just watch me go :TComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

I had a bit of an up and down day - fortunately more ups than downs.
Target has had to be increased by £10 as was outbid on my dress  - but still fantastic value. Just need to get the tape measure out now..............
EBay sales after fees and allowing for postal charges are £25 and I have another payment due but its only a couple of pounds. :j
My mum also sold a painting that I received as a wedding present last time but as I haven't got my hands on the cash yet I haven't included it.
Was also accepted for a Halifax card at 0% so I can BT and save some interest - bonus!
I also listed 5 more items to end next Monday!
All in all a good day, how are the rest of you getting on?Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Went to the post office to send my 1st batch of items and post was £6 rather than the estimate of £10
Added a spare pound coin I had lurking in my purse so have upped my total by £5.
Found a good idea on the debt free wannabee forum as well. Each Thursday I'm going to put ALL the spare coins into a pot (I already put anything smaller than 50p in each day) and then pay it into the bank every so often.:A
I figure I won't miss it much and it all adds up! I've picked Thursday as my weekly budget starts on Fridays.
Any other ideas gratefully receivedOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hello Tine and co!
Really pleased to come across your challenge as it will provide me with the incentive to get round to listing things on e-bay! Have just had a lodger move in so that means the wedding fund is healthy but in the process have moved our own bedroom so have sorted out lots of stuff we don't need! Have also been given a few things from relatives (like old stamps!) and haven't got round to doing anthing about it but will really be a bonus for honeymoon expenses!
Sold something a couple of weeks ago so have added that to my running total as a start! Must try and list some things tonight! No target - anything extra is a bonus!

Does Ebay let you trade kidneys? - I went to my first bridal shop today and found THE dress. But at £600 it is slightly over budget :eek::eek::eek::eek:Comps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%
