Lo woke up with a goo pouring out of his ear again and whinging/ screaaming intermittently - took im docs, waited an hour with him screaming and me carrying him round! Got another lot (4th in 4weeks) of antibiotics now
Sounds very familiar for my DS when he was that age. I would urge you to get a consultant referral and have him checked out fully.
My DS eventually had longterm anti-biotics (6 months) to shift a very stuck infection, and also by 20 months he had grommits inserted to stop eardrums bursting every week or so. His was an extreme case but I do remember the consultant saying that low dose long term anti-biotics usually sort out these recurring ear infections in 90% of cases. DS has other ear/nose/throat problems so thats why the grommits as well. He is still prone to ears problems but these days we follow a more normal route through and its uncomfortable and not excruitiating as your LO has at the minute.
Hugs to you both, I hope LO feels better soon,
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
She is taking a wee dickie! Let her out for a run, it's worth for the entertainment!
I throw an apple for mine, and yes she does chase it, won't bring it back though....
Is she neutered? In the summer if she starts to circle your feet and nip at your feet it's sexual frustration.
I know a bit about rabbits I do... both cute floppy ones and.. uhm... Duracell powered ones.... :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
They insert tiny tubes so the fluid does not get trapped behind the ear drums. Its the trapped fluid that get infected. Simple procedure in and out same day but they are knocked out for it.0

Hi everyone - just caught up with the thread at last!!!
aimeelister - exciting news about Denmark - all I know about is that Lego was invented thereSorry - can't think of anything else! Have a great time.
AnW'sMum - don't worry about the blood count thing too much at this stage. The levels they have them set for blood donors is very sensitive and doesn't always mean you're anaemic. It happens to me about every other time I give blood, but when they've come back with the results two weeks later I'm just over the level for anaemia, so don't need to take iron. I've always been borderline, and can usually tell when I need to up my iron levels because I start falling asleep all the time (even at my desk at work  ), so hopefully yours is borderline too.
torianut - sorry you're having a bad day - hugs
Happy Birthday to hollyh and pigpen's middle DS
bebee - hello - I'm a newbie of only a few weeks, and don't remember you from before. Won't be long before you're flying again!

Thanks MOAM and Shell once again for your replies - makes me feel better just knowing he is not the only 1! DD's were rarely ill so it's a shock having all these doctor visits, medicines and sleepless nights! Will definately ask to be referred if no joy as we are going back Friday to see our usual doc and he is lovely.
As for rabbits, ours has free run of the garden in summer and the garage in winter! It's just geting DD to feed her thats the problem! OH hopes she will run away but never does! (the rabbit not DD!) Oh and the duracell one is in the bedroom drawer and never gets let out! - did I mention LO NEVER sleeps!! LOL0
