Funny you should say that, when my Jack Russell sees one he goes APE!:D0 -
A squirrel comes into the house ONCE and the best you can come up with is to kill it??
Must have taken you an age to think that one up! :rolleyes2
Grey's are officially vermin. That means, like rats. That means - yes you kill them. What's your problem?Under no circumstances may any part of my postings be used, quoted, repeated, transferred or published by any third party in ANY medium outside of this website without express written permission. I can't bear the thought of any animals being killed, especially by poison as that's a long, slow, painful death.
Please use the humane squirrel trap, they are very successful.
My dad used one as he had problems with squirrels in his loft. He didn't block up any holes though, so he had to keep putting the trap down and ended up catching lots. He would always take it to release it, in a wooded countryside area and would check the trap frequently so the poor thing didn't end up trapped for too long.
These do work and are kind.:o0 -
We had squirrels in the loft at the block of flats where I live - I even had one venture into my kitchen (talk about the mess - it chewed a whole bag of onions that I had inadvertently left on the floor).
Our local council pest controller suggests baiting the traps with Bounty bars because they love them.
Did you know that squirrels are very tasty:rotfl:0 -

I'm wondering if we my have this problem as had real difficulty sleeping last night. There was an intermittent creaking noise coming from our loft from 11ish when we went to bed and was still happening at 3 in the morning as it woke us up. All silent this morning.
We do have lots of squirrels around due to a lot of oak trees in the area. I didn't hear any scratching sounds or anything.
What sounds have other people heard?0 -

I was in my kitchen when I heard noises above me. When I looked outside in the eaves (at the back of the house in the corner) there were 2 fat grey heads looking at me, from a big hole that I hadn't noticed before.I'm totally freaked - I was up in the loft yesterday - not in that far corner but up there. I don't know if they are mice or squirrels but I will be phoning the council tomorrow - they do pest control. What do I expect? x0

I had squirrels at the start of this year living in my loft. I bought a trap £20 quid...no earthly use... The little !!!!!!s set it off, nicked the bait by shifting the whole trap about and I'm sure I could hear them laughing. They dissapeared during the summer, now they are back. the problem is they can do very serious damage to property, the council say you have to find where they are getting in, which I thought I had, and block it, then they will send the guys out for free. I didnt get the council out last time as the squirrels had , I thought , gone. Doing it this time.:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o
