Hmmm!
I'm not sure we ought to allow this.;)
Poor hubby. :rotfl:
I always treat myself to something I wouldn't normally buy with the money I pick up. Not decided yet what to spend my 2008 money on yet.0 -

I started saving the money I find in a jar, since the start of the year nearly £2, just pennies here and there. Most found in one day, 15p. Have in the past found £10 in Starbucks, £10 in M&S (£5x2). No notes yet though, just change. Found 8p today. My youngest is always finding money, came across a £1 coin one day too.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0

Was buying my energy saving light bulbs in Tesco last night - check out this GREAT deal:
£1.96 each BUT buy 1 get TWO free - and they're the mini spiral so not too big for smaller shades.
But I digress......
as I was paying using my credit card at the self service till, I noticed a £5 in the change section.
Now, I have no objection to picking money up off the street but I just had to hand this in. As I did so, a woman came back to say she'd left her change.
Would everybody have done the same?
This might be hard to believe, but yesterday I was in the same Tesco Metro, used the self-service tills and paid by credit card.
I walked thriugh the precinct and decided to look at the 70% sale in Clarks.
A couple of teenage schoolgirls came in and asked if I'd just used the end self service till in Tesco.
I said 'yes' and they said 'you left your £5 note change. We've taken it to Customer Services'.
Now, of course it couldn't have been mine so I went back to Customer Services to tell them that in case the real owner came back for it and the girls had given them my description.
But, I think that I'm destined to walk out of Tesco with a £5 that isn't really mine.
Next time, I think I might really say '3rd time lucky'.0 -
