  • My work trousers are exactly the same. I use a key ring through the zipper and then put it round the button at the top.

I had a pair of boots from charity shop, and they were beautiful but within five minutes of putting them on the zip opened up. I found that running a pencil (I think I read that tip on here too) solved the prob - and three or four years later those zips are still working perfectly! I didnt have to redo them - just did it the once, and my grandkids always choose those boots for dressing up, so they take some abuse!

Thanks. I will try this. Fingers crossed.

There isn't a button to loop over or I'd use a small piece of elastic.
