  • I know it's great to be able to unburden without feeling embarrassed. This is a real lifeline and great motivation. The other good thing is that while I am on here I can't be shopping online!!!!

  • :hello: Hiya Everyone

Today I hope not to spend any money and stay at home and do loads of cooking to last into the week.

It's my day off today when before I became a DFW I would go out for a coffee and browse the shops which always involves buying something!!

I don't do that anymore - having said that this horrible weather makes it a lot easier.

I HAVE TO KEEP IT UP

Have a great day. I will log on again at lunch time.

    xx

    Hi Debbie
Well done on changing your attitude towards money. It is hard changing but will be worth it in the end.

Good luck with the Goldfish card

  • :hello: Ididn't get a chance to log in yesterday. I was at work all day and then had to pick up DD from work, do some shopping, cook dinner and then it was my turn to help at youth club. Phew!

I spent £13.84 but I had to buy loo roll and dishwasher tabs.

Today was another NSD - fantastic!!

Have cooked up all the odds and ends of veg with pasta and cheese sauce. Yummy.

Once upon a time I would have thrown those bits and bobs away.

    :D

Debs, i went through all my cupboards, fridge and freezer and wrote a list if what was in there. What previously looked like no meals, suddenly looked very different. I found that I had more than i thought and ideas popped into my head for what to cook! try it. Also some-one said cut dishwasher tablets in half and make them last twice as long. haven't tried it yet myself, but I am going to! They are soooo expensive

£120 a week!!!!!! Thats pure luxury lol

I am doing me, a 16 year old and a 13 year old (both with hollow legas) for £25 a week and managing nicely.

Nice to hear you are making a dent in that debt well done :-)

It's not easy but my sister is doing two adults and 4 growing children on about £30 a week. Just means lots of homecooked food and not many of the little extras. She also shops in Aldi which has cut things down compared to even Asda.

I've just started halving my dishwasher tablets and it seems to be going fine so far, everything is still getting clean. And i only get the Lidl or Aldi ones so even more money saved
