I just love lush.......... :smileyhea :smileyheaWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0

Lush is not permitted in this house - except birthdays or Christmas!! Its soooo yummy but sooo expensive! Hope you manage to get a bike cheapish! Have you looked on quidco etc? A great way to save on petrol but I have to say I get scared of cycling on the city roads...great excercise though! Does bf cycle too?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Mobile is on a 2 year contract, but its got rolling minutes, "stop the clock" and x-network so in theory I should never spend over my tariff and it seems to be working so far. I do a lot of travelling with work so don't want to be without minutes, but don't want a work mobile as I'll never get any peace!!
Lush - well I don't have baths very often (lots of showers tho) so a Lush bath bomb is a treat. I now use Lush shampoo which works out a lot cheaper than normal shampoo. The Lush conditioner doesn't seem to work on my hair so still need "proper" conditioner.
Bf cycles almost everyday and prefers it to driving. He has 3 bikes, but only two live with us at the moment. Its going to be interesting if I get one too!
Thanks to everyone for all the support. I've just found two jobs in Cardiff to apply for so a good start to the day!0 -
oh great news on the job! Keep us posted! Not having to pay so much travel would help plus the extra time & energy with no commute!
I tried lush shampoo but it was too much for my hair (fine) so now on cheapie stuff (v05 or aussie miracle - whatever is on offer!) but it seems ok. One thing that had to go was £10 bottle of shampoo & £12 conditioner! Could bf sell one bike to pay for yours?! Just a thought!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! I've jokingly mentioned selling one of bf's bikes, but wouldn't suggest it seriously, as he doesn't find it funny! He's really into his mountain biking. He has an old bike for commuting and a nice one for leisure which isn't suitable for commuting. He also has a downhill bike!
One of the jobs would be more pay for less hours too. I'm really excited about them both. Living and working in Cardiff would be excellent!0 -
Well not having a great couple of days so far. I've went for blood tests yesterday, and forgot to say I was left handed so I had a very sore arm for a couple of hours.
Then my trainers ripped so I now need to go trainer shopping, and to top it all off I woke up with a very dodgy tum. :-(
Off to the outlet village in Bridgend to see if I can get a trainer bargain!0 -
Hi BTW
Welcome back to Cardiff. :wave:Make a list of important things to do today. At the top, put 'eat chocolate'. Now, you'll get at least one thing done today.

Thanks Carolyn,
Well had a good day at the Bridgend Outlet Village. Managed to get myself a pair of Vans trainers for £19 and there was a buy one get one half price offer on so bf got a pair for £5! Also got a copy of the first Harry Potter book in Welsh for bf for £2.99, it was at least £8 everywhere else.
Also got a spring jacket for £25 from Tesco so I'm all set. Just wish the weather was spring like!0 -
I've been in Belfast for a conference this week and its been a relatively low spend week as most things are on work expenses. Had some problems with my luggage when I arrived as my case was cracked in several places. I've written to the airline with a complaint so hopefully I'll get something back.
I've had to fix my case with duct tape as i'm not buying a new case to have them damage that one too!
Flying home tomorrow - can't wait for the weekend!0
