I keep spare loo rolls and cotton wool in the airing cupboard cos the heat makes them puff up therefore you take less to use each time.Blah0

Always buy fruit & veg loose and preferably from the market.
Darn holes in socks.
Serve yorkshire pudding with onion gravy as a starter before a Sunday roast - you will fill up on the starter and would need need as much food for the main course.

I get the freezing it but I think putting it in the airing cupboard might make it smell nice in there but would dry the soap out .....a lot :-/

The Tightwad Guru, Amy Daczwhatever has published an article about this thing of drying the soap in the cupboard and has discovered, by trial and error, that the soap does NOT last longer!
But, if it scents one's undies, why not!
Another PREPOSTEROUS BUT TRUE tip fpr the use of a bar of soap, which I read in a herbalist's website, is:
If you have restless legs (twitchy legs that you have to move at all costs in the evening when in bed), put a bar of soap in the bed and it should help.
Don't ask me why, I have done it and it helped - it must be the placebo effect! Here is the link (anwyay the whole site is a great source of info so worth exploring!)
