Car accident -who's fault?

Of course it's your fault. You hit a parked car. How much simpler does it get?0

I hit the parked car, but even though the parked car is on double yellow lines.0

You hit an immobile object. What you should have done was wait until there was enough room to proceed. It is 100% your fault.0

Sorry I meant to quote you but I thanked you instead. You are totaly at fault - even if he was illegaly parked you were the one driving. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

It is up to the insurers of the involved parties to decide whose fault it is, so this is rather pointless thread. Though I would expect the outcome to be that it was the fault of the OP......0

Why is everyone so sure?
My partner reversed off our drive, she was watching our cat so she didn't hit it.
She bumped into the neighbours car who was parked opposite our drive.
It went through insurance and the neighbour who's car was empty and parked at the time was found at fault.0
