Ooh, just another thing that you might be able to help me with. How do I find out who our electricity and gas supply is with? There is nothing in the paperwork at all, it seems to be on but there is no paperwork for that nor how to work the boiler!! It sounds daft but I have never lived in a house with central heating and I do not know how it works. Does anyone know what I need to do?0
-
Would the HA know? They must know how to find out, I'd have thought ...Signature removed for peace of mind0

Hi BM, so pleased for you. re gas and electric, try looking in yellow pages and it will say who the suppliers are, or it should do. I sure I remember that there is a number you can call, are you sure its not on meters? Enjoy the decorating!0

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!
Will come back and post properly soon, but just dropped in to make sure that things had gone according to plan.
well done you - you made this happen with your hard work, dedication and sheer tenacity.
I say again, you are a very special person and you deserve all that is good in this world.

Thanks J, still feels very strange. I just had to buy a new freezer as the other would not fit (I thought it might but it will not) so the other will go on eBay but today I got the money for the buggy I sold and it was almost of the same price as the freezer!! Someone just posted on another thread that there is someone I can call regarding the gas & leccy. So that is another job for tomorrow - along with BT of course!! I am sure I'll get there in the end - so much to do before half term week.
The cooker is ocming Saturday so that I can feed the children, they had junk today and DD threw up - did I say that already?
The neighbours next door were glaring out the windows today and no attempt to say hello or anything, they just stuck their dog outside whech then poceeded to bark at us. oh well, nothing a fence cannot cure I suppose. Ryan will go and touch the dog and it was quite fierce looking - I guess some DLA money is going to go on fencing then as I am not going to risk him getting bitten by it. I just cannot get him to understand that all dogs do not want to lick faces - don't even try to think about it. he even stuck his face into that of a rhodesian ridgeback - luckily the owner told him not to do it but the dog is a bit of a worry, especially if the owners do not speak to us to understand he has a problem.
Well, time for bed, a long day coming up tomorrow. See you soon. Will catch up tomorrow Wol, ay day suits me so please let me know. not sure if there will be anything to do inside but the garden needs some TLC too. I bought some weedkiller today to tackle the nettles - it was only when faced with the 4ft things in a patch that is about 10ft deep I realised that the spray bottle I had bough from Homebase was not actually going to be of any use, LOL!!0 -

Warm and hearty congratulations to you and your family BM. I'm so pleased that at last there is light at the end of the tunnel and you are out of limbo land. You really deserve to feel settled after the tremendous trials and tribulations you have overcome....the dignity you have showed throughout....and the fact that you have still taken the time to help others on the site as well.
Looking forward to your new thread and hearing about your new life.
See you soon and big hugs to you all.

Just as a little pointer although I am not sure you HA will do it but my HA put up a fence in my back garden out of their special needs budget.
The reasons being was the Josh was an escape artist and it was a danger to him not having a decent height fence.
Not a small job either, the garden is over 130ft long!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

-bm, you are such a warm spirit, with so much obvious sparkle and the best Pollyanna characteristics, why not make the first move yourself? Why not say a little about Ryan - they need to know in order to keep a watch for everyone's sakes and safety and may be interested('nosey')enough to accept an invitation to see how you are getting on, or to have a little snoop about inside your place and see how theirs differs.
No harm in asking them a few ?s either - give it a try, bm.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:
