    HI Bluemoneky

I have been quietly following your thread and I really hope this house is good enough with all you've been through you deserve a bit of luck in your direction.

    Good luck for this afternoon.

Hi Smashed, Yes, this is the one we had desperately thought was the best one out of the 5.

It is perfect. And I mean, perfect, location - very quiet, hardly any traffic so Ryan is safe if he runs off, garden, house size, flat so the kids can finally learn to ride their bikes, not too far from school really, space to park the van and car as well as hubbys van, space for a large shed so I can move my business out of storage and 'back home' and eventually I can start working again. I am now toying with getting a cheap 4x4. When we have moved in I am getting rid of my transit so I'll use the money to get something so I can get down the lanes to get to school, not so good in my little car really, I don't think that it'll be up to the drive every day.

There is a school practically over the road - so it is something I am considering as they have a 'higher than average' intake of children with special needs, there are 120 children over 8 years so class size must be 15 where as it is 30 where DD is now. My daughter is one of these kids who can teach herself really, she hears/reads something once and it has sunk in (she is on year 3 reading and is 5!) the teachers there would have the ability to know how to cope with Ryan too - the teachers they have this year are fab so there is no way I would consider it, however, Ryans teacher for next year is not one with patience for children at the best of times and shouts at them a lot and I have been thinking on this. I only found out in the last week - so maybe, who knows, something might be for the best, but for now I am keeping them in the school where they are at and where they are settled while we move. While I am not looking to move schools now I am going to consider it and pay them a visit because you never know (my daughter has actually askd if she can go to the new school, is that good or bad??).

So yes, it is perfect village location, looking out over onto fields, hardly any houses, cars, etc... It has 2 receptions - one for the kids play things and diner and one for us in the evenings when they are in bed and want some peace and not to be looking at toys. And it is a clean slate and drawing board for us to start on. And it will be ours with no-one else coming and going with keys.

    Ah..... am I waffling :)

    Thank you Poppy. x

You may be waffling but you are entitled to! This is great news. Have you reserved or booked it? I see you are viewing at 4pm so does that mean you cannot say it is yours until after you view?

Hope it is as nice inside as out!

Oh BM, I am so so chuffed for you... it is so similar to what happened to us. We were getting down to the final days before eviction day when we got to the top of the list and was offered a house 2 minutes down the road from where we were.

It's a great feeling isn't it? Although I still couldn't quite believe it until the keys were in my hand and the furniture was going in :rotfl: . I kept expecting something to go wrong, or the council to decide that they had made a mistake and really didn't have the points.

But it was all good and it was such a great feeling after all the months of worry to finally be able to call something home and to plan for the future in a normal way and not stress and worry about where we would be living in 6 months time.

Keep us posted on how the viewing goes...
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
