    I have been a pigsback member for over 4 years and have had very few problems. Any problems that I have had have been resolved very quickly usually to my satisfaction.

    Perhaps the problems now are a result of trying to grow their business in the UK too quickly with some poor planning thrown in (seemingly in website management mainly and customer relations). In the end of the day what do you expect for nothing (well except your time). I haven't heard many posts saying that they have gained points by buying at advertised stores it seems just by answering quizs or clicking links.

    Am I totally off the mark?

    That is a fair comment, but they are advertising services which they have not lived up to. In my eyes that makes them a bad company. They now have x number of people who they have removed and y number of people that they have removed points from.

    Those people have not been treated fairly, due to their incompetence with their TOS. Fair enough, they can not ship out vouchers if they are not making a profit, but again it is their fault and their mistake not ours. I would accept it if they made a statement saying they are sorry, what kind of a company lets its users gets points from an offer they didn't close but then takes the points away. They seem to have no problems with other offers with the 'offer expired' page.

    I know we were getting something for nothing, but i feel the blame is on them.

  • To be honest, I think that everyone needs to step back a little. After all, we're all getting something for what is basically nothing. We're clicking links to earn points. We have all probably clicked links we shouldn't have, knowing those points weren't meant for us. For this reason, I don't think we should be so harsh on Pigsback. I do think they should reinstate the cancelled accounts, as it looks like they are treating people differently. A message on the website apologising for the problems would be good, too.Yes, they could have handled it better. Yes, they should have been more communicative, but people do mess up from time to time. Give them a break. Let them get it all sorted out, then see how they are.

    Oh, I lost a load of points too. In all honest, I probably wasn't entitled to those points, so can't grumble.

    My main grumble is the high handed attitude they've adopted. I redeemed 3 £5 vouchers, but only had 2 voided and points reinstated. Sent a very polite email enquiring about the missing 1, and the reply was;

    "Pigsback.com have unsubscribed accounts which were purposely accessing links not available on the UK site, and no longer live, to add Points onto their account.

    Your account has not been put on hold, however the PiggyPoints you earned through offers which you did not avail of have been deducted from your account and the Rewards you have redeemed the Points for have been cancelled and will not be delivered."

    I read that as a thinly-veiled threat to remove my account, yet they themselves are as much to blame for allowing these links - the irish links in particular were accessible easily from the UK site, and I don't remember seeing we weren't allowed to use them!

    It's their arrogant "we're right, you're wrong" attitude that I have most problem with. If they carry on treating people like this, they'll lose their source of income very quickly.

    I've been a member for a couple of years and things were fine until the UK site went fully live. I haven't received a £5 voucher which I requested over three weeks ago, and have failed to get any points credited for two orders placed with Wow Woman. I have had no reponse to my emails even though they have in the past replied within a couple of days. Finally, I have had 100 points deducted with no explanation.

    If pigsback have been having problems, the least they could do is send us all a standard explanatory email, or put a note on the website.

    I totally agree. I have been using the cashback links on the site, I've been credited from Amazon and another 100 points have appeared on my account this morning but I'm not sure what transaction it's from yet as they don't seem to update the piggy bank straight away.

    I log on to find a further 700 points deducted from my account with no explanation, the 575 points for the £5 voucher owed has been recredited, and even though I have over 575 points in my account, I am unable to order another £5 voucher because they have now been withdrawn as rewards. Still have had no response to emails. I am totally disgusted with this company. My points will be donated to the Samaritans today and I won't be using them ever again.

    As an aside, they prevented me from making a second donation to the Tsunami appeal in January because their "administration costs meant they had to restrict donations to one per member".
