Can I get refund on M & S bras?

Im sorry but i would say chuck the bras in the bin and forget it.
You only paid £6 for a bra, that is really cheap and it was probably made in china by a 6 year old. A bra costing so little wouldnt last you long anyway.
If i were you i would put it to experience, move on, shop in debenhams and buy a bra that will be of a better quality. It will last you longer in the end.
Also regarding the washing label, it comes into common sense. Bras are delicte items. If any bra has moulding to it you really need to reshape it while it is damp. If not it will pucker and it becomes unwearable, especially cotton bras.
I know youre angry by the whole situation, but it is up to you once you have bought the bra how you treat it. If you leave it to dry naturally in its position there is a chance it will dry a dodgy shape.0 -
Just read this and thought of this thread:
Might be NSFW as it features a lady in underwear!

Vixarooni, it's not how much the bra costs but the principle. If you buy a jumper and it says pull into shape and dry flat on the label then you will do just that. Why should I have to second guess a wash label that tells me to wash at 40 degrees (I washed it cooler to be on the safe side) and it tells me to not tumble dry, which I followed to the letter. It is up to M & S to change their poor quality products, and I'm sure I am not the only one to think their standards have dropped. Needless to say I won't be shopping with them anymore.
Debenhams is a whole other ball game for me right now and I ordered with them online and never again.0 -
I recently discovered I had been wearing wrong size of bra and therefore could no longer purchase them from M&S. I have a number of bras that have hardly been worn - you know the problem - seem to fit for the first hour and then you sprout two more boobs! So I thought I would give them all a wash and put them in a charity bag. As luck would have it one of the wires came out of the bra managed to get through one of the drainage holes and it is quite possible we will need a new machine!! Thought this one might be a good one for customer services! It says machine wash on the label. I have been wearing and machine washing under-wired bras for twenty five years and never a problem before!
La Senza - great service and fig leaves - don't touch Debenhams online they are a nightmare. Took two weeks to deliver - wanted to return the items - no returns label or courier number. Phoned the 7 day a week - open til 11pm customer services line at 5pm on a Saturday - 0845 number and it is closed.
Then have to phone up again because three weeks after collection refund is not on credit card!!0 -
Hi Caramel, I so agree with your post. I ordered with Figleaves and they were very good with their customer service and prompt replies. They kept me informed every step of the way when I had to send returns. Excellent company!
La Senza - I purchased from them in store, again another excellent company.
I ordered with Debenhams online at the same time as Figleaves and I have had a refund from Figleaves in that time and Debenhams are having problems locating the parcel I returned and say it can take 21 days for the parcel to reach them. What rubbish! I didn't realise but they hadn't put in a return label in the parcel and I used the courier one that was enclosed as it was the only label in the parcel!
There are a whole load of posts about M & S and Debenhams online. I wished I read them before ordering.0 -
debenhams are rubbish online.
I also find that la senza can chagerge you £20+ for a bra and it looks like its worth £2. Nice sleepwear, but underwear not liking.0 -
This year I returned a pair of boxer briefs (mens) where the seam had fallen apart after a few wears. I didn't have a receipt so I emailed them and they gave me the return address for QA. I duely sent them off and nothing happened for 2 weeks, so I thought that was that; but the next day I received an apology letter and a M&S gift card with £17 on it.
I guess I did well.0 -
I must be the only one who loves M&S bras! I have to buy them from there as I'm big and can't wear underwires. I shopped around but not many high street stores sell big non underwired bras fullstop, let alone matching the quality and fit of M&S ones. Luckily I have no complaints about them. I wash them at 40 in the machine and they are absolutely fine.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0

They are trying to tell me the fault lies with me not stretching the bras after washing and it cannot possibly be a fault on their side!
Just to add I wonder how many people have bought that particular bra (underwired or not), and have tried to get a refund.
i have the same problem with the padded ones, when you want to wear them you have to stretch them right out for them to regain their shape0 -
It's the main reason I buy my bras there - with or without a receipt, I have always either had a refund or replacement, but then again this is usually due to wires snapping after a few months of wearing. I have returned other items under the 'not fit for purpose' heading and have had the same treatment - maybe it just depends on who is on the desk and I've been lucky?0
