It's showing "In Stock" again here's the link for anyone who missed out Click Here
  • Hi,

There is a site with loads of reviews and features that I have found http://www.acemobilephones.com. From what I can see it seems to compare about 20 online leading retailers and presents the best deals according to the tariff you want. If it ws me I'd go for the Treo 650 (if you are OK with palm software) or the Motorola A1000 or Sony Ericsson P910i which has just come down in price.

    Cheers

    Tiger
  • Although I can get other (lesser) phones for far better prices/tariffs I'm seriously looking at the MDA compact now on T-Mobile's U-Fix. The tariff looks rubbish but it appears that you don't have to mess around with that cashback nonsense that you have to do with other deals. I really don't like the thought of a company going belly-up on me, the postal service/me messing up or having to make room for another £30-£40 in my bank account each month!

Martin has mentioned about knowing his "worth" to the penny. He achieves this in part to his pocket PC. This device can be used for the same function as it's based on a Microsoft Operating System (MS Windows Mobile) incl. Excel & Word (Pocket Versions). In true Money Saving Expert style it is brought to you at the money saving price of £180.00 (12 * £25.00) Click Here

As previously mentioned this is so much more than a mobile telephone, just take a look at the features. You will see you are getting a Pocket PC with the ability to watch video, listen to music, surf the internet, email, pictures, video clips. With a choice of four tarriffs there is something suitable for almost everyone, from light users through to heavy talkers.

I hope you find this as useful as I have.
  • Got my A1000 ........ have to say so far so good ....... the GPS built in is a bonus.

Your'll have to keep us posted as to howyou get on with it. After speaking with someone whom had brought one I was totally put off. His phone kept resetting as was very slow going between applications etc.
  • I'm sad to say I've gone for the Nokia 6630 on Three. It was really a matter of finances and justification for me. I *really* liked the MDA Compact and realised it was a steal at the price (if you took the tariff and totalled it up it was still cheaper than something like that should be!).

Unfortunately the 6630 *doesn't* appear to be that bad a phone (I'm used to NECs!) and I can live with Three's network problems (I've had two years of them on 3toGo!). What did it for me was 12 months free line rental / 6 months half price on an 18 month contract, all the minutes I could want, probably enough texts for most months. On top of that I've got used to the non-video news and finance stuff being free on Three (I really like their My Portfolios!). Of course on other networks that stuff isn't usually FOC. But then neither is email, but with Three it still is (if you do it through the phones' email application and not through the browser).

Still, I really did want either the MDA Compact or the SPV c550. Maybe I can sell the Nokia phone and use my new contract sim in my existing Three mobiles (that way I can free up some cash for what I really want!) ;)

Scancom Click Here still have this T-Mobile MDA Compact U-Fix deal on, this means you get a fantastic phone on a twelve month (Fixed Price) contract for a total of £209.34

    What it costs:

£29.34 fully inc. (P&P, VAT) to get the phone delivered follwed by 12 monthly payments of £15.00 no cashback, no huge phone bills to worry about and best of all a phone which acts like a Microsoft XP Computer BRILLIANT
