Thanks for the tip. My son is having homeopathic treatment as his face was so bad but I wish I had tried this first. I'll probably get some anyway. The dietary advice she has given him has made a big impact and he is taking more responsibility for eating well now, so that has been worthwhile. She also recommends tea tree oil in water for cleansing. There is some improvement so far.0

Glad it is working. I'll try to get my son to use tea tree oil - thanks!

My 14 year old son is currently using Duac prescribed by the doctor and it has worked brilliantly and he is completely spot free.0

Best of luck, I had severe acne when I was younger. I forget about it now, but it wasn't until I was 25 and I took some serious antibiotics and cleared it. It left permanent marking for me. So clear it at first operatunity (sic).Happy chappy0

Hi
Wondered if anyone had any advice or tips on acne scar removal. Basically I have a few acne scars on my face from the last few years (unfairly as I never squeeze or pick) and want to look at having a chemical peel. I know they wont go completely but I am sure they would look better.
Looking around some seem to be about £600 for 4 treatments. But I have seen a kit on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Glycolic-Acid-30-AHA-Chemical-Peel-30ml_W0QQitemZ260006849215QQihZ016QQcategoryZ21022QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and if bought I wouldnt take it lightly!
Now i know there can be dangers about things like but has anyone ever tried one or any advice0 -
My Daughter has been suffering from Acne for quite a few years now and has been on Dianette,Oxytretracyclie, Zineryt, and others I cannot remember their names,
She is now 3 months pregnant so the Doctor will not perscibe her anything,
her skin is terrible she has never been refered to any Dermatologist, her skin has loads of raised spots that cover all her face and neck which are very red and sore looking, at the moment she is using vitaminE Cleanser and cream, any tips for anything that she could be using to try to calm it down.
thank-you,
It should never have got this bad. x0 -
My son had terrible acne for around 2 years. He had loads of stuff from the doc which kinda worked but not to any great effect.
Then I met a friend who's son had bad skin before and she said to try the homoeopathic remedy pulsatilla 30. She said that they have to take it for around 2 months before it makes any difference.
We did and now his skin is looking really good. He gets a bit of an outbreak if he goes mad on yoghurt or crisps.
You can get it from boots for around a fiver.0 -
Tbh, I don't think any of us here are in a position to be able to suggest anything for a pregnant woman. By the sounds of it, the acne does seem very bad. All I can suggest is that your daughter goes back to the GP (perhaps see another Doctor).-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
