Spray required for mould on painted wall

Its really very good. I use it on painted surfaces no problem.

We've just bought a dehumidifier too. Like others, we can't stop the things that are causing the condensation and mould, showering, drying clothes inside, having the heating on and no windows open, so I'm taking a different approach. We bought this with the £20 SHE discount voucher and I'm very pleased with the results.

how do you know that green mould isn't caused from damp coming in from the outside? is that a possibility or would it definitely be caused by lack of ventillation/condensation from inside the property?

we have mould on our bedroom wall (window wall) but it's just above the skirting board so very low.... any ideas?

my partner is planning on taking the paper off and painting the wall with a special oil based paint but don't want to do this unless we have to!

Hi Greenr. Most of our mould is around the windows but theres some on the ceiling, so I was concerned it was something to do with the loft. I sent Mr Phirefly up there and seems theres no problems. Looking at it logically, the mould is occuring where the heat is rising and trying to escape and water droplets are coming to rest. Yours being low down suggests another cause.

The dehumidifier is yet to prove its worth regarding stopping mould coming back as I've only had it 2 days, but its certainly reduced the condensation dramatically. I'll be sure to post with the results.

I've used that one too on painted walls, can't see any damage to the paint and the mould was gone in seconds!

I think I'm going to have to give this mould and mildew spray a go! by the way, it's great on tile grouting to bring it back to white again!!

I'm tempted to buy a dehumidifier but I've heard that, if you have damp coming in from the outside, dehumidifiers can just drawer more water in!!

easy a permanent way to get round this, get the old paint off, scraper of nitromors, clean the area with a preparation solution and give a few hours to dry.
get a small tin of ronseal damp seal and paint the affected area plus a few inches arount to make sure and after 24 hours repaint the area the original colour.
this was one of the first jobs i did when we moved into our new home (about 7 years ago) and we have not seen mould since.

I'd second this, except I used Wickes anti-damp/mould paint and used cuprinol water seal for the brickwork outside (along with repointing the bricks where necessary). From a room that would constantly get damp up the outside walls theres nothing there now.

I have noticed the following product that seems to advertise itself as the be all and end to condensation problems. Has anyone tried this as I would be interested to know how good it was?

at £25 a tin seems a bit more expensive than the damp seal at a few quid a tin.
