Spray required for mould on painted wall

Hi
There is a bit of mould on the painted walls around my window. I keep wiping it off, but it comes back quite quickly. Can anyone recommend a spray I could use on it? I have found a few mould sprays in the supermarket but they all say you can't use them on painted surfaces.
Thanks in advance

The only one I have found works is the dettol one in a lime green spray bottle, I don't know if you are supposed to use it on painted surfaces but I do, since our bathroom needs an airbrick or extractor fan as leaving the window open makes no difference and our landlord keeps conveniently forgetting to deal with this I have no choice!0

Thanks. Yeah, that's one I found in the shop that says don't use on painted surfaces. Can anyone else confirm it doesn't have any nasty effects on painted walls? If so, I will give it a goProud to be a MoneySaver!

have you tried posting this on moneysaving oldstyle ( one or two forums down form this one) they can probably tell you you need to mix lemon with bicarb and spray on every full moon
Otherwise
Most bleach sprays do just that BLEACH it that is why it grows back so quick you need a fungicide spray that will kill the mold rather than just hide it..
try a builders merchants they might helpTHE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0 -
Have you tried Bleach? Diluted with water or neat. This should kill the mould spores.
Or Flash spray with Bleach.0 -
What you describe is usually caused by bad ventilation and condensation, I am sure you know this already but opening windows a crack can help etc, although realise it is cold and it is a difficult thing to prevent. However, today I have purchased from Homebase some crystals that are in a plastic tub that you can sit on a window sill and apparently they soak up the condensation and alleviate such problems, it has a drip tray at the bottom. I am going to give it a go as it if helps protect the decor then it is worth the £3.99 I paid. Don't know if it's any good yet!

I have no outside space and no tumble drier so condensation is difficult to avoid as I need to dry my clothesI open the windows as much as possible but it's so cold

See if your landlord will buy a dehumidifier (£80 one in Argos is good). Cost approx 3-5p an hour to run, and feels warmer in the house so potentially heating costs less. It has pretty much cured our problem.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

I had the same problem on the ceiling of the bathroom at my last house. I sprayed with diluted bleach to no avail, I bought some stuff that was supposed to kill the mould and then re-painted with antifungicdal pain still to no avail. My mother in law recommends a heat/light lamp (I think) but as I have now moved I didn't try that. If anyone finds the answer to this problem other than leaving doors and windows open I would be most interested to know. - oh and I had an extractor fan fitted. We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0
