ebuyer - is it just me???

Oh I agree - ebuyer are cheapest... by far!

Ive used them several times in the past, but this time i feel like im just being ignored.  Probably just being paranoid but its impossible to get hold of them.

Im also after a bluetooth adapter and 1gb MMC card.... which are very reasonable at ebuyer, but this whole fiasco has really put me off using them again.  I'd be scared of never recieving the items!

I hear theyre recruiting... as a recent graduate (now on the dole), maybe i should be applying :-)

As regards failing to receive goods any other negative issue with a retailer:

1. pay by a credit card which comes with insurance and make a claim against the credit card company straight away (10 claims a year and the company get superficially investigated but none the less no retailer wants to go anywhere near losing their cc merchant account)

2. Complain to trading standards as soon as any delivery terms are breached. Again in proctice, Trading Standards do nothing but accept bribes but again no retailer wants to go anywhere near sucyh bad publicity which in theory leads to company bankruptcy.

3. Write a review on the retailer in CIAO & Dooyoo and send them a copy stating that you'd be happy to add that your issue has been satisfactorily resolved once it actually has been

I accept that our government does nothing for the consumer and always protects corporate rights but this reflects in some small part how the internet helps the people.

OMG scary stories!! Never saw this thread and ordered an MP3 player on the monday before xmas, and received it on xmas eve as promised!! So far the item is absolutely fine and I can't fault ebuyer!! :-/


But NOW I'm worried, after reading this little lot!

Finally got a response this morning.

They say the item is out of stock, but unfortuneately they failed to say when they might get them in and actually deliver it.

In their credit they have offered a refund, but i cant find the same product anywhere, and I particularly wanted this item. So, I think il hang on and hope that it is eventually delivered!

Ironically, I asked for a job!

I quoted a few sites showing their bad reputation, eg https://www.ebuyersucks.com, and said it looks like they are understaffed at the moment!
