  • would September be a good time to visit (trading off slighly coler weather versus chances of being ffeasted on by midges) as May is a bit short notice for me.

I've been called a lot worse.... (by you actually in our late night chats :p)

But, one thing is true - Scotland is grim. The people over the years have spent so long hating everything English that they have let their cities fall into absolute disrepair, have one of the highest poverty rates on the British Isles, Highest drink/death rate and highest drug rate, lowest education rate and its always freezing. Ok I admit, there is the odd nice mountain and a bit of history but Scotland imo ranks as one of the worst countries on the planet.

Are you wanting some argy-bargy on a Tuesday afternoon? :naughty:

I'm not going to argue with you, I don't have the energy today but I'm sure someone else will be along to put you straight soon! :D

July/Auigust is probably the worst time, if that helps.

You want to try and pick a location with a bit of a breeze if you can. They tend not to linger so much then.

I think you have just set a new MSE record for the most ignorance displayed and !!!!!! spoken in a single post. ;)

Rip Off - Clearly written Terms and Conditions.
Terms and Conditions - Otherwise known as a loophole or a rip off.

Usually i look for the good in countries - I am one of the few people who loves Eastern Europe, Moscow is one of my favourite Cities on earth! But i just cannot for the life in me like Scotland.
I have been to both Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as a few coastal towns and been to the Highlands a few times and i just do not like the place, there is no doubting the beauty of the countryside, but i just cannot see Scotland as anything other than a grim, depressing country.
