Given your post on the Asda thread about complaining about wasting your time because they didn't have anything on sale I find the above amusing. You didn't even buy anything so weren't overcharged and you complained!

what planet are you on? you clearly didnt read my comment properly and it was not me it happened to so i think you need to keep your silly girl comments to yourself ! this all began when a product was offered at the reduced price (not correct item we must remember), and was rudely refused. Im with the other respondee, teh goodwill gesture should go to charity and this thread closed down, i believe it was called farsical not so long back - here here !!!

From the pic I would have expected to pay £2.50 as that is what was indicated on the shelf I read a sign and if it matches in description I would buy. Wouldn't read bar code as shopping would take all day and without my specs I cant see that small writing anyway. No way were all those games put there by another customer - staff cocked up, store should manage staff better. If they didn't charge me that I would complain and would expect them to abide with their policy. Im fed up with Tesco getting their prices wrong even if it's just for a few pence as they are deceiving customers into thinking they are paying a lower price than the till will charge and its always in their favour. Good on your friend complaining and not letting them get away with it.

I think your friend was quite right to complain. Tesco have a known problem (for the consumer, but not for them) of charging more for items than is stated on the labels. They have been in trouble from the Office of Fair Trading over it in the past, and that is why the offer the bribe of 'double the difference' on the rare occasions that the shopper actually notices the price difference and takes the trouble to complain.

The reason they get away with their cynical overcharging is because many people think as its only a few pounds why bother complaining. All those few pounds add up to a few of the millions that they make every week.

So give the OP a break.

I've also recently reported Tesco to Trading Standards, over putting up prices of toys by 25% immediatley prior to their 25% off toy sale. They are taking action. It's only by us all working together, on sites like this, that consumer giants like Tesco are ever going to be held to account.

Im still certain that the label for £2.50 was NOT the label for that product.
