I work in a Tesco Extra store and we are open 24 hours a day, the reductions are done all day. The later in the day the reductions are done the more they take off, so it will end up they are nearly paying you to take it. LOL
We have staff to do it as that's all they do, just the reductions. I hope this helps.

I think that you are being really rude saying that its no wonder I need security with me. I don't think you would like to experience what I do each day I work! Yes there are some nice customers who constantly come into the store to buy reduced items and to be honest I am glad to see a friendly face. But for every nice regular customer there are at least half a dozen more nasty customers.

You really need a security guard? I thought that was a joke:eek:

i totally agree , i work for sainsburys as a price controller and have a handset , the amount of people that kept thrusting a xmas pudding or something else at me, grunting , you gonna reduce it or what ??
erm , i dont reduce stuff and i'd like a bit more manners please , is my thoughts and a few others X-rated !!!!
it really puts me off the public big time
