    Your question makes no sense really. Almost any company will accept a customer with a low income provided that:
    • the income is stable;
    • credit history is good;
    • total debt used and total credit available are not big in terms of the income.
    The lower the income the lower the credit limit is likely to be.
  • Can you do a balance transfer from a card in someone else's name, eg a partner??

    This is usually fine, yes.

  • I have a Lloyds credit card, which I've cancelled and I'm now just paying it back, but my APR is 18.9%. Was wondering if anyone knows if students are eligible for balance transfer credit cards?
    Thanks a lot.

    You won't qualify for a new UK credit card if you are not resident in the UK.
    If you already have an second UK credit card account with sufficient limit then you could likely transfer the debt to that card.

    Not sure whether you would be able to transfer the balance to a Spanish card (if you were able to get a credit card in Spain).

    Can I apply for a credit card if I already have one from the same company - I am already a barclaycard holder and wanted to check if I can apply for another or if it has to be a different provider

    A few people have more than one Barclaycard, mainly for historical takeover reasons. You can apply for a Hilton Hhonors or IHG Priority Club card, both of which are supplied by Barclaycard.

    I think the majority opinion is that if you want a new Barclaycard now you have to give up the old one.

    Since this thread is about Balance Transfers, I would add that you generally cannot transfer between two cards from the same provider. So Barclaycard to Barclaycard would be a no-no anyway.
