  • No. However, they may seek the payments from the borrower's estate, if there are sufficient funds, which could save your partner paying the balance,.
  • How can I work out what my credit limit I will be offered for a new balance transfer credit card? The MSE calculator is telling me of 100% likely offers based on my credit score but I have a balance of £10k with MBNA currently coming to the end of the 24 month interest-free period. Applying for a new card and being granted it with a credit limit of £1,500 is going to be of very limited use in my case.
    Any advice gratefully received.

You can't.  But any limit will help, so accept anything you're given.

Some lenders are anecdotally more generous than others, so hedge your bets.
