My only contact has been by text and email and I think the hire company must have divulged my number

Oh dear. I mean oh dear why haven't you replied, confirming your name and postal address and that you were driving?
Do that NOW.
And ask the hire company if they gave out an old address for you. I think letters have gone to an old address which is dangerous in terms if you missing a claim form. Eek!
That way lies a CCJ. Correct it NOW with both the hire firm & PPC.

But you said the above?
Reconfirm your full address and tell Moorside to use the post, not texts.

Sorry I am not very good with any of this admin stuff. I just called trace and they have my current address but they said all letters were sent to my old address which was updated with dvla etc but obviously not in time. She said basically tough luck I can send a copy of the letter to you by email which she has done and it says. This letter was sent to my old address letter dated March tis year.
We write in relation to the above matter.
We ask that you make the full payment of £170.00
You can make payment in the following ways:

So have my current address at Trace but do I need to also tell this to Moorside or are they all the same folks.

Tell Both , to be sure, ideally tell the DPO at the parking company by email too
They aren't communicating with the hire company, but could use an old, out of date address, so ensure that all 3 have your current address as hirer

So the people you call to pay are the same folks as moorside legal and I have updated my address. Also updated with car hire company. Alos emailed parking people at
dpo.magparking@apcoa.com
