Ah OK now the whole thing has come out It was from last December I was in a hire car and dropped off a couple of folks at the airport and didnt ( didnt realise I had to ) pay
The PCN was issued for Use of Pick Up / Drop Off Zone without making a valid payment at Manchester Airport Upper Drop Off Forecourt T2, Manchester on the 5/12/2025.
See attached evidence.
By entering and parking the vehicle on our clients private land you agreed to enter into a contract with our client and to be bound by the terms and conditions of that contract. The terms and conditions were clearly displayed. due to your failure to comply with the terms and conditions our client has issued the pcn.
We ask that you make the full payment of £170.00 within 7 days of receipt of this email.

Lots of info on how to deal with this on this very section of MSE.
Was this an email you missed before?

Stop.
Nobody rings Trace and nobody pays £170 to anyone in private parking.
What is important is:
- You moved a year ago.
- Letters have been going to your old address;
- You now have a text about the PCN, as they traced your phone number (perfectly legal) but you still haven't received any letters, so clearly these are still going to your old address;
- If you are not careful, a claim form will go to your old address once Moorside Legal take the file, and you won't defend the claim (and if that happens, you'll get a default CCJ).
Obviously you MUST erase your old address from their file urgently! The first reply you got on page one from @ChirpyChicken told you how to change your address with Trace without ringing them. Done it yet?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

God this is a minefield
OK The "offence" was for a drop off at Manchester airport back in December. The car was a hire car and I cant remember if myself or my colleague was driving. So i am now assuming that the car hire company have divulged some info regarding contact details.
