It’s really annoyed me though as I’m guessing it means someone has phoned them and said my capital is over 16K, there’s some proper nice people in this world isn’t there as I’m right in thinking it won’t be a computer flag or anything will it, I had a rather large payment go in several months back around 8K which probably took me to around 10.5K so not sure if it would be a system flag or a person, worst that’s gonna happen is I may owe them for the time I went over the 6K, my payments have been suspended currently as I’m struggling to provide the bank statements.

It could be a data mismatch from a bank. Have you considered having an appointee?

Why are you struggling to provide bank statements? If you have online banking it should take next to no effort and time to get them or even generate a single statement covering the range they ask for. Failing that a single call to bank asking for same. Do for each account you have held. I refer back to my previous post…. you seem to be expelling a lot of time and effort avoiding something simple to resolve… and it is causing you unnecessary suffering. All you're doing now is wondering what has triggered the review… who cares… get it dealt with… Monday.. stop causing yourself further issues… including the now suspended payments. Delaying this (which you are deliberately doing) serves you no purpose unless you want to suffer. Sorry to sound direct - but you're going around in circles when a solution is in front of you. I can sympathise with the excessive worrying and anxiety as I suffer same myself… in your shoes I'd be thinking 'what have I done wrong.. what have I missed… ' and so on…but the solution is to get it off your desk off your mind… send statements. We're here to resolve people's queries… yours is resolved… comply with their request. You have concern over a sizeable gift received and paid off debt with it. Paying off debts is never deprivation of capital in UC. If you made that payment in same assessment period as receiving the gift then no issue - otherwise you might have small amount to pay back for being overpaid if you paid debt in a later assessment period. It can all be resolved and put out of mind. Your choice!

I'd say it's fairly self evident why the OP is being evasive.
