Registering for the Gov one account took a little while, but was worth it as they are apparently migrating to this from the Government Gateway, so would need to have been done sooner or later anyway.

    Overall, not bad.

    It found:

    • My state pension and correctly advised that I have full contributions.
    • A personal penson (ex workplace) from my old employer (though I have moved some of that to my SIPP, but it got the current value right.
    • My current workplace pension.
    • My deferred final salary pension, but also waiting for provider contact as per @GenX0212 above.

No mention of my 2 SIPPs though where most of my funds are.

    • The rich buy assets.
    • The poor only have expenses.
    • The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

Well the sign-up was painless with an existing Government One login.

Then it kind of fizzled out. 1 pending pension, my SP which has been in payment for over 5 years.

No sign of any of my five private pensions (DBs, DCs, annuity) all in payment.

The dashboard is not designed to show pensions in payment - so your DC scheme that's in drawdown will never appear. That's not a mistake.

I guess the logic is you won't have forgotten a pension you're already receiving money from.

@Brie What do you mean "SP" here? Do you mean State Pension?

    Well that was fun.

Having a Government one account meant the entire process took just a few minutes to get to the point of registration for the service, through to searching for my pensions.

As expected, the service found just 2 pensions my sipp with ii and the state pension so no surprises there.

My main observation is the Government one login account seems to accelerate the whole verification and set up process so that would I feel be a distinct advantage to have in place prior to sign up.

I set up biometric ( finger print ) access on my tablet for future accessibility, should I feel inclined to look again.

I consider myself reasonably digitally adept, but do wonder how many of the general population around my age group ( 68), will find the registration/setup process similarly straightforward.

One wonders whether early beta testers such as ourselves who already have a higher engagement with pension matters compared to the general public, will be able to provide really helpful feedback that will assist in an eventual successful roll out of the full blown service.

Maybe this forum might see an uplift in newbie enquiry traffic once this service fully goes live.

Ah, so my understanding of what this tool is for is not correct.

It's not a way of seeing "all my pensions", it's designed for those persons having pensions not yet in payment.

My bad for not reading more about the subject.

My understanding is that there is a deadline in October when pension schemes are supposed to have uploaded data. Some not yet there. Some, like civil service, not going to meet deadline.

The 31st October final connection deadline is set out here in detail in section 3

    https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/pensions-dashboards-guidance-on-connection-the-staged-timetable/pensions-dashboards-guidance-on-connection-the-staged-timetable

From my earlier progress website link

All pension providers and schemes in scope of legislation need to have completed connection to the ecosystem by 31 October 2026. This includes all personal pension providers subject to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules and occupational pension schemes with 100 or more relevant members.

Occupational pension schemes with less than 100 members can voluntarily connect

I also registered for this back in June and as i already had a Gov One Id i was able to log in as soon as i was given access. Unfortunately the results were not as good as some have reported already…

I was shown 5 pensions, none of which i recognised and so, as suggested, i contacted each with my details and the search ref. They all responded saying the search ref was useless and they could not use it so needed a lot more personal details, which i provided. After several weeks, all had responded that they could not find any pension relating to me. No surprise as I didn’t recognise any of them but i have no idea why they had appeared against me as none could/would tell me that information.

My Freetrade SIPP was not show as they had not yet connected.

My main DC SIPP was also not shown, as i found out as part of this process the dashboard does not show all Pensions as I thought it might but as I have taken some Tax Free Cash will not show this pension.

It did though show me my SP, just the same as it is in my Online Pension Forecast…

I might register again and at least see if the 5 have now been removed and Freetrade have yet connected as we are nearer the October deadline.

The P side of DWP may "encourage trustees or managers and pension scheme providers to follow the dates in this guidance unless there are exceptional circumstances which prevent them from doing so", but I am pretty certain that if I ask an employee of the W side of DWP to check on November 1st then there is no way that Capita are going to have provided the data. I suspect that other big pension schemes with recent "management issues" will also be missing.

It is to be hoped that either the pension dashboard is subject to a "soft launch" or it is launched with caveats about what is missing.
