Thanks - as I say its not me I am worried about it is my older relative who is 100% reliant on her blueyonder account.
I was using mine as a test before migrating hers.

…and your older relative needs email access via a client?

So you could access your BY email through a mail client before migration but not after migration?

Unfortunately yes. She is that way inclined.

Don't know if multi-quote is a thing on the forum but yes, that is exactly it.

Presumably Junara supplied instructions for setting up access in an email client (in your case, Outlook)? What did these tell you to do? This will involve adding an account in Outlook with Junara's email server addresses (SMPT for sending and IMAP or POP3 for receiving) along with appropriate port numbers. Did you follow any such instructions, and what was the result?

Hello,
Sorry bit of a MSE forum issue (hence name change!)
Okay, not my first rodeo - I know about IMAP and POP3 and port numbers and the rest of it.
Earlier in the thread, you will see my original post where Junara said 'nothing has changed, continue to use your current settings' but clearly it didnt because Outlook no longer logs me in.
Help and support didn't read the messages, I gave them all the instructions of what I had done prior to contacting them (adding IMAP and SMTP etc) but all they did was link me to the same settings on their help page. So we have had several back and forth emails over the last two weeks culminating in them telling me to change from the Virgin IMAP settings to the Junara IMAP settings (see where this is going - they said 'nothing' had changed) however this also hasn't worked.
This is the stage I am at now. So perhaps you can understand why I am extremely hesitant to change over my elderly mothers account (of which her age / status / ability to use a computer etc is not open for discussion) when my account, which again I stress doesn't affect me as much as her, will not work.

Yes, I do understand your reluctance to change your mother's setup when yours doesn't yet work; I would feel the same. I don't mean to keep mentioning the more technical settings if you know about this already - perhaps better than I do! However, I'm surprised if Junara said that "nothing has changed", unless the context had already dealt with what must change. At the very least, your email client (Outlook) has to be changed to point at Junara's servers rather than Virgin's (e.g. what was smtp.virginmedia.com for sending).
From your earlier post:
"Both now give me a generic error saying that either my username, password, or IMAP/SMTP settings are incorrect. I can assure you they aren’t, as nothing has been changed at my end."
If you have changed literally nothing, your email client won't work, because it is still pointing to the Virgin servers. Web mail uses different servers from those used by email clients. Web mail may well be working fine, as you will be typing a different web address into you browser (Junara rather than Virgin). Did Junara give instructions for using an email client (rather than webmail)? If so, what did they say about this requirement?

I changed to Junara about a month ago. Both my email apps, Thunderbird and K9, still receive and send my ntlworld emails. I have made no changes to any of the apps settings or passwords. I can no longer log in to the ntl web mail portal but the Junara page works.

They just linked what is on their help and support which references Outlook, classic Outlook or Thunderbird.
Have tried them all.
What did they say? Nothing really it has been dreadful up until now they've been dealing on and off since beginning of October last email which I'm afraid I haven't answered is for me to verify who I am so they can help me further.
