Right thats another £45 for the US holiday fund, just waiting to see if I have to send it or if the lady intends to come and collect it. Am going to try sending it by parcel post from the local Post Office.
OH back from his meeting. I am shattered, think I might have a warm bath and retire to read. I am reading 'Spilling the Beans' the story of Clarrisa Dickson Wright..............very amusing but also quite sad..........We knew her when she had her cook shop in Edinburgh. I also ran across her at my friends, Johnnie and she stayed with my friend when they were appearing at a local food festival (Johnnie is my friends cousin, a great chap with a superb sense of humour)
Right cuppa is calling........sleep well chaps........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR my quilting frame has 1 bid and 10 watchers, why don't these damn people put bids on!!!!!!!!!!!! Drives me crackers, I usually put down the top price I am prepared to pay and let it run. If I don't secure the item tough, it was not meant to be!!!!!!!!!! Due to finish in just over 2 hours time.
I'm like dlb - I like to wait until the closing minutes to bid. I don't understand what difference it makes to a seller when people bidDon't watch the watchers if it upsets you so much
Haribo - virtual hugs, chocolate, slice of fresh coffee and walnut cake, and mega-mug of tea on their way to you :A
Vegaslover - ouch for your DD  I know just how you feel - my DD is twig-slim (takes after her dad, not me  ) and when she's poorly has no veinsfor blood-taking.
Hester - enjoy your *time out*
Mrs mix and Miss Catznine - hugs for you
Churchmouse - hugs for you and your dad. Pity he doesn't live this way - if you drove 200 miloes north, you'd be at my front door, and could share Haribo's tea and cake
Shez - cream of tartar doesn't go off. Scratch off the BB date, and use it to make gingerbread - no chance of a diet when you're Real OS :rotfl:
Peony - I have no idea how you can have 21 loads of laundryIf I washed everything in the house it wouldn't be that much
Back to w*** tomorrow, and after a day of really wanting to stay at home and bake, I've retrieved my briefcase from under the stairs and am ready, if not keen, to return.
Enjoy your evening, and I'll pop in when I can.

Hi everyone. done the long trip to sort birth certificates out. Sent off for eldest DDs passport again!!! Just been looking at other certificate and there are some spelling errors on it-so I'm going to have to phone the registrar just to be on the safe side. I don't want all this palava when I need to send for her passport!!!!! Traffic was horrendous on motorway coming home. Long tailbacks due to an earlier accident!!!! So just had a well earned cuppa and a quick catch up on the thread. Hope all who are ill get well soon and all who are well stay well. (((hugs))) to all those who need or would like one.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Good evening:D
Now anyone who read my earlier drivel may remember I was going to experiment with a fastbake loaf. Well said loaf is out of the breadmaker, and I tasted a tiny bit of crust that dropped off. The conversation then went:
me: b*gger, I forgot the salt!!!!
DH: does that matter?
me:well, yes, it tastes a bit bland. Oh I'll let it cool, so we can see what the texture etc is like.
a while later
me: can you taste it, and imagine it tastes nice, so I know whether or not to do fastbake again?
DH: Well, if I'm to imagine it tastes nice, then surely the answer will be yes?
Now I know he's a man, but you lot know what I meant don't you:rotfl:
Anyway he's had a slice with slightly salted butter, and declared it fine, even without salt perfectly edible:T So as long as I remember the salt, I now know I can do fastbake if I'm pushed for time;)
Hope your pizza turned out OK, mrs moneypenny. See you weren't alone in the error stakes:o
vegaslover hope DD is feeling better, poor love. (((hugs)))
(((hugs )))) to Haribo. Chocolate is a pretty good soother for most things. (in the absence of alcohol!!!!!)
Quick look round here, then the ironing calls, oh joy!

I needed to take down DD's Festive Penguin, as we're past 12th night.Thought I'd like some eggs on there, and they'll definitely be staying if the namesake of the cleverest egg-layer of them all approves  Is that a good enough plug for you? Aussie's still around. You owe me a verrrrrrrrrrry large drink now :rolleyes:We haven't eaten them - they're the only ones we've had so far, so we're still admiring them :T :rotfl:
