@Brie I've had Velux issues in previous houses and it's always been the flashing. It doesn't take a very big gap to allow water to find its way through.

Listed two more types of paint.

Then came across two more excess types of paint. That's before we get to the two types of flooring and the two types of tiles.

All out of returns window, none of which we were told about.

Our builder is such a tool.

It has been such a miserably cold, wet day that no outside jobs got tackled today, but I did move some piles of fabric upstairs to the small bedroom that I have converted into a sewing room (and put them away neatly, yay me!).

My new sewing room needed some new curtains and I found a fabulous pair in the right size, right colour, with heavyweight thermal linings, in a charity shop this afternoon for £7. They honestly don’t look as though they have ever been hung at a window, they are just like new. So pleased.

Finally moved the furniture around and cleaned. Not thoroughly but enough that I don't feel like I'm living in a cesspit

I'm sorry @Brie, that is a shame. Rest in peace lovely tree

That sounds dreadful with B&Q @greenbee, well done for persevering. We ordered radiators through them and they kept turning up broken, it was such a mare getting it sorted

More build materials listings, fridgefreezer finally turned off and defrosting

Shame about the tree but much better to take it down than let it fall down. One near us did & they were so lucky. It fell so that three houses couldn't access their front doors & somehow managed NOT to demolish anyone's porch. It fell because its roots didn't go deep enough to support it & they ignored all warnings
