    Thanks, that's great.

But if I don't follow the appeal process, won't that go against me if it went to court?

Also, with my current situation I don't know if I've the emotional capacity at present to deal with court claim letters.

I know this is why they do that, to scare you into giving in and just paying, but I can't risk getting an even higher amount and court costs if I lose 😟

Telling drivers to use an app to "check if it is a match day" is not good enough.

As someone with zero interest in football, I wouldn't know or care if a match was scheduled unless there was a sign in the car park itself.

I like the observation that the signs don't specify the £100 charge for non-compliance. A few years ago now helped someone win in court because the sign said maximum stay 2 hours but did not say what the consequences of overstaying were. This was something the judge had noticed all by himself ;)

As someone with zero interest in football…

As the location is near Headingley do you think the "match day" might involve cricket or rugby league?

    It looks POFA compliant.

But I would in fact recommend your son appeals based on the fact that the entrance sign is on the ground and the car park signs are sparsely placed and the only sign that could be found by a friend checking out the terms and taking pictures after receiving the PCN, doesn't state anything about a parking charge.

Therefore, there was no contract regarding £100. There was also no GDPR sign seen with the required privacy notice and ANPR surveillance warning information at the entrance (if that info was on the sign on the ground it was impossible to see when driving in and therefore the site is not Code or ICO surveillance rules compliant).

Also, the vehicle is a Motability car and one of occupants of the car was disabled (terminally ill) and needed more time than able-bodied motorists, including refreshments and a rest.

Attach any receipts or bank statements.

Not only could your evidence pics win at POPLA but it will also mean you could (firstly, before even trying POPLA which is a faff) escalate your complaint next month to Home Bargains who might cancel it.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Is this compliant?

If not, can I use the absence of a £100 overstay charge in my online appeal?
