    So I guess the questions are - Why would you pay on arrival for a free hour? And would the 11min grace period be added to the free hour?

    Any further advice for this POPLA appeal, now the photos are posted, please?

    I realise that I need to search for "UKPA POPLA Grace Period", but I would like to ensure I have the correct info.

    Thanks.

    Doubt you'll find many UKPA POPLA appeals as they are small fry who don't feature here much!

    I'd just say the facts as they are and DON'T use ChatGPT to write it!

    The facts are these:

    • the first hour's parking is free - see sign;
    • the Code mandates a minimum ten minute grace period to leave after an allowed parking session;
    • the car was only there 62 minutes, and left within the grace period;
    • the PCN says payment was not made but no payment was due;
    • there is also no GDPR privacy notice at the entrance, explaining who the data controller is and how camera surveillance data will be used.
    • Therefore this PCN was not properly given and POPLA must uphold the appeal.
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
