NatWest (incl. Royal Bank of Scotland, Coutts & Ulster Bank)
NatWest for over 30 years.
Also use Santander as a main account since 2023
Two of the best I feel. Lloyds used to be good, but now too complicated with the crosstalk between brands.
14 other accounts held for reg saver qualification, and results of switch bonuses.

NatWest (incl. Royal Bank of Scotland, Coutts & Ulster Bank)
NatWest for over 50 years. Very rarely had a problem. Only gripe: just closed the local branch.

Lloyds (including Halifax and Bank of Scotland)
Lloyds for 20 years. "Only gripe: just closed the local branch." Me too.
Before Lloyds - smile.

How often did you use the branch?

My Santander account has been my main account since it was Abbey National Building Society.

For what it's worth, the top five customer bases are apparently:
Lloyds Banking Group 28 million
Nationwide 24.5 million
Barclays 20 million
NatWest Group 20 million
HSBC 15.3 million

However, this doesn't go as far as 'main account' status, and may not even differentiate between current accounts and savings ones…

Santander (including TSB)
Somewhat difficult to choose, because I have several accounts that are "main" for different purposes, but I picked the one that the majority of my direct debits come out of, which is Santander.

What's your definition of main account?

I would have thought that was obvious - it's the account that receives your salary/pension and on which your direct debits are lodged. For the vast majority of people that would be their main account. On here, though, who knows - a trend waiting to be bucked, no doubt.

you see its only obvious because that's what you do, because what i'd call obvious is separating the income account from the transactions. Surely everyone learnt from scammers getting access to transaction accounts!? No!? I'd be crazy to put my ebay and temu transactions on my income account! Not even bills go there.
Mortgage lenders ask for bank statements, I wouldn't give them my transactions account, they just need to see my income + savings.
