Just a reminder that to get an entry for August to move £100 into one of your current accounts sometime today and leave it there until tomorrow.

And if you have a saver, apparently after 8:15pm and back in tomorrow!

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Everyone has the Products & Offers option available in the app, but quite a lot of people - including myself - have never seen any offers there. All I ever have is "New offers coming soon - Looks like there are no offers available at the moment."

Annoying, but the more difficult it is to enter, the better chance you have of winning something. If just 10% of their customers enter then the chance of winning would be fairly remote. If a lot less, then who knows. As FL points out, buying a lottery ticket may be more rewarding and less hassle unless you meet the monthly criteria anyway.

Ah, but over 5 weekly draws that might save enough for a small gob-stopper.

First time I have heard about this draw, now opted in via the very tucked away menu in the app.

I have savings and CC, but Current is usually well below £100. Is that just need Ed for month end? Just one day?

(edit seen above posts about it, so will do the 9pm saver swap)

Yep, that's how it works. My Santander CA sits with a tenner in it for most of the month except for the last day when it's funded for the utility DD's to go out on the 1st (and generate a bit of cashback).

If you read the terms, the big winners get a phone call and have to confirm ID to get the cash, small winners will just get it paid towards the end of the month after the draw

The winners of each month’s draw will be randomly selected and notified by email and, where possible, mobile banking by the end of the following month.

Winners of £10,000 and £25,000 will also be contacted by telephone. You’ll need to provide some information to pass security if we call you.

Prizes will be paid to the winner’s Santander personal current account by the end of the following month with a reference of “Santander customer prize draw”
