How to switch within Sky Broadband cooling off period

No this is completely different, Freely is VOD of live TV , it’s still video on demand and delivered over the ‘internet’ , Freeview is broadcast TV from an aerial, the fact that broadcast TV isn’t delayed as much as VOD is not latency , it’s because it takes time to get from the broadcaster to the internet , then from the internet to you , broadcasting is more direct and if watching something live , like a Football match , if you watch on Freely and your neighbours are watching the same match on broadcast TV , they know before you when a goal is scored, same with notifications on your phone , a VOD ‘live’ football match is typically 30 seconds or more behind broadcast version , but this is simply the technical delay of the VOD architecture , it’s not latency as we know it .
The general description of latency in this context is (for example) playing an online game , you press a button on your keyboard to move your character on screen, but there is a noticeable gap between you pressing the button and the character moving , this delay is the latency , and in some situations it’s a problem when quick responses are needed to your ‘commands’ , and latency can and does vary between providers as the OP is discovering, the Sky latency is worse than when they were with BT .

Latency, I m guessing it is the later arrival in my lounge TV freely than mt Freeveiw in the kitchen?
No, latency is measured in milliseconds. 100ms is slow.
With Freeview, you're watching the direct broadcast With Feely, you're probably watching a stream.
When I leave kitchen the Tv in lounge is half a minute behind.
Latency of 30 seconds would make the internet practically unusable.
That's most likely a result of slow MPEG coding/encoding. The pips on R4 on DAB are always later than on FM, for example.

They're trying to compare Freeview through an aerial to Freely via the broadband, it's nothing to do with latency and is comparing apples to oranges.

All those "results" are via wifi by the looks and are useless, the MySky app is reporting circa 900Mbps to the hub. There are probably a couple of issues, one may be the Sky Broadband Shield which needs setting to 18 or entirely off. The other is the relatively poor Sky Max Hub wifi which would be better served turned off and a decent wifi mesh system replacing it.

Yes, I will re-check tests using ethernet connection to device.
Already changed Broadband Shield to 18 and also disabled it - made no difference.
I'm not very technical, I don't know what a WiFi mesh system means 😐

The OP hadn't mentioned that it was over wifi when I posted.

One of the two pics has a wifi symbol on it and given the Sky app reports no issues then the circa 400Mbps speed reported was always going to be via wifi as well.

BTW, all speed tests done via a browser carry overheads from the browser itself. On a PC or a laptop the Ookla Speedtest standalone app gives a more reliable and consistent reading, the Ookla test of course is the one that Netflix uses from the help menu.

Unfortunately, we don't have any device that I can test with a wired connection to the router so seems I can't provide anything useful to Sky to explain issues.
Only use a basic laptop and it has no Ethernet port.
From what I can understand, latency is our issue with the gaming lag. But even the poor tests via WiFi give low results for this so I don't know why we are having problems with lag.
