    Yes indeed.

When I went from 60mb to 300mb they pulled the old cable out & sent the new one through the same hole. This hole was already in place when the tanking was carried out.

However if an additional cable needs to come through then a second hole is likely required.

If they're sticking to OR customers there's no need for a new cable.

If the OP chooses a Provider who uses OR and also an Alt could it be Provider who might instruct the Alt to connect?

As the OP mentioned Youfibre , which is practically the only ISP on Netomnia (there are others but they are hardly household names) , so it’s unlikely they will pick an ISP that uses both Openreach and Netomnia, it’s also very unlikely that the address has Openreach , Netomnia and City Fibre , CF at least does has a couple of major ISP that are available on CF and Openreach, what’s more if the choice of ISP means a new installation of another network, they would be advised as an appointment would be needed (to access the property etc ) .

Your neighbour doesn’t have Sky on Netomnia because Sky are not available on that network, so if you can ‘see’ your neighbours WiFi name as Sky***** they probably are on Openreach because everywhere that Netomnia are , Openreach were there first , because Netomnia leech onto Openreach poles and ducts .

Well he says he has the this Alt and says his ISP is Sky.

With respect to your neighbour, he's not a very convincing narrator.

    You've previously said:

My neighbour got his Sky transferred to an ALT network which I think is YouFibre. On the day the Alt. wired up our street the engineers offered to transfer him and he accepted because of cheaper price.

I would suggest that the engineer installing the altnet isn't going to be able to phone Sky up and get his service transferred from Openreach to an altnet there and then, even if Sky is available on the altnet.

Whatever service your neighbour has remains a mystery.

"I said I think is YouFibre"

This Alt. keeps changing it's name.

Birsk (?) City Fibre Netamnia and possibly in future Virgin Media.

I now know YouFibre is part of Netomnia
