Dustykitten - I copied it off another thread on OS. I peeled the potatoes and cut them into chip shapes. Brought them to the boil and then boiled for 5 minutes. Drained them well (I left them in the colander until I was ready to get dinner). Then brushed trays with olive oil, spread the chips over, brushed the tops with oil. Put them in a hot oven 220C for 20 minutes on the bottom and then up the top for another 20 minutes (to do both sides). They looked quite unevenly browned but tasted lovely. I didn't add salt to the boiling water because I knew we would want to salt the chips:D

You have to think about it longer in advance, but it was easy enough and must be cheaper I should think. I'm sure you could use vegetable oil but I had some olive oil so I used that.

Well so far, I've sat an half-heartedly looked for bits for my maths lessons next week, and not got anything down on paper; washed and dried my hair; got dressed; spoken to my neighbours who thought I'd left home cos they hadn't seen me for so long; played with and then been attacked by the cat and have scratches up both arms; eaten brunch of scrambled egg on toast; hoovered the hall, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, and decobwebbed the bedroom; and that's it!

Still haven't done the weekly meal plan and food shop, or my maths plan, and the flat could do with some more flying too. I just can't get motivated, so would someone like to join me in a HHC? I'm aiming to get the weekly meal plan and shopping list done in this time, plus put some washing away.

Decided on a cylinder. because it's all lamenite downstairs, then there is the stairs and upstairs is footery and I figure a cylinder would be easier to maneuver.

Pollybear - I dont par boil mine. Just peel and chip then just toss them in oil and put on greased baking tray. Stir half way through cooking. They take about 30 mins on 180. Quicker option so may be worth a go:D .

Work today. DH just phone MIL unable to come over to take littley to her party tomorrow as Nan poorly. The only alternative would be leaving her by herself but she is only 3 and I dont know the Mum who's little girls party it is so dont feel comfortable doing that. Leaving DD1 (5) home alone isn't an option either. Will feel like a mean mummy not letting her go. Must ring the Mum and apologise when I get home.

Did more ironing yesterday so just the small basket of yesterdays washing to be done. Will need to put clothes away so thats on the list when I get home. Sorted through the undies bag and that was all sorted and put away (another job I hate!).

Right off to the basement to make a coffee!
