    Morning all

The sun has got his hat on hip hip pip hooray.......

Plan is to get the branches cut off the christmas tree so we can store the trunk for burning. I'll take the branches to the collection park where DS2 can use his dirtboard and they have put in new climbing stuff in the park so DS3 can play there.

All this to avoid going with DS1 and OH to some war aircraft museum - sorry really not my thing at all.

Also a quick pop into Mr T - think I'll recycle all the card but expect there will be a massive queue for the points machine.

Just need to find my list.

    Dusty's Leftovers

DW - phone eng (ev) to report progress
    was engaged
DS3 thank you notes I just need to find 2 more envelopes
cut up and recycle tree if it ever stops raining
Clean Spiderman web from front path check for remains

    Sort box of cards
Ebay look for similar to list
    charity shop/shoe recycling
    gluing

This is the smallest list of left overs for sometime so feel really pleased. I want to start teaching DS3 about coins - he has no idea on the different values so as I have time I will start this weekend - the others used to love putting them under paper and rubbing crowns on them to see what they were.

Morning all - I've not done Flylady consistently before but am decluttering the house in a major way in order to make it easier to keep clean, so I'll join you all properly on the next weekly thread after this weekend's blitz.

Morning all and a big welcome to Sola!

Today has gotten off to a great start actually. Hooray! The Ils are coming over this morning, so I've s&s'd the bathroom, kitchen, sitting room and hallway. I plan to do Owen's room this afternoon when they've gone, so will be back to post later on with my progress.

There've been so many posts that I've forgotten what I'm saying to different people, so forgive me, but you're all in my thoughts.

Freya slept really well last night (8pm until 5am!!!!!!!!!!!! Then back to sleep at 6 until 9) so she's feeling a little more chipper today, thank goodness. We were ALL in the big bed when I woke up this morning, so we're off to a really family-style weekend.

Oh dear, DD has just started crying. Back later xxx

    Morning all,

Managed to get to work an hour late yesterday! so as punishment DD is NOT having her friend round to play today, but if she redeems herself then friend can come tomorrow. Think she's on the right track as she brought me and OH breakfast in bed this morning.
Went to the pub over the road last night for a birthday drink for OH and some tea to find they werent doing food so between us had cheese on toast, sardines on toast and leftover chilli - some birthday tea :rotfl:

Poor DS had been growing his hair for the last year but finally decided he need to get it trimmed as he was getting the mickey taken out of him at school as its starting to form ringlets like goldilocks. Booked him into my hairdresser and he came home in tears as the girls cut it WAY too short, bless him he was sobbing, using words to describe it like spacky, goofy, stupid. Oh dear I feel so responsible. He's gone to his dads the weekend so hope it settles down.

Well I'm still sat in dressing gown so I better go get showered and dressed as someone coming round this afternoon to assess us to take in short term french students so need to start on the outstanding list:eek:

Wonderful Wednesdays - Master Bedroom & Landing

Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs.. not ready for that yet
15 minutes floordrobe clearance - longer than 15 mins and 1 side of the rooms cleared
Vacuum floors in bedroom - one side done

Thrilling Thursday - Study/PC area and Bathrooms

    Clean floors in these rooms
    Clean baths, toilets and sinks
    Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Clear a hotspot, if it's bad at least spend 10 minutes on it
Remove anything from window sills in these rooms, clean before replacing the items (which you have of course given a wipe)
Clean toilet bowl inside and out, the floor in front of it aswell if you need to
Wipe skirting boards in these rooms
Flipping Friday!! - those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
    Level One
Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see
Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself! Anything you like.
    Level Two
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc for at least 10 minutes
Dusting, all those shelves and flat surfaces
    Level Three
Strip beds, turn and vacuum mattress, replace with fresh linen
Sort through a cupboard/chest of drawers and get the clothes out which are no longer wearable, too small or out of season (do they need anything replacing?)
Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors (yes including the handles)
    Extra Task List

    * Wash a set of curtains, nets, duvet or throw
    * Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames
    * Hotspot cleaing, spend 10 minutes tackling one at least
    * Grab a binbag and fill it with stuff to leave the house. Can be rubbish or charity shop or to donate to a friend/freecycle

Don't forget your ME time this weekend go on you deserve it.

If you want some extra things to do over the weekend I'll be back tomorrow evening with a delightful weekend list, when I can think of things to include.

For those crazy people who want extra things to do, you could try one of these
    1. Complete level 3 in any 1 room that you didn't manage to do through the week
    2. Move a piece of furniture which hasn't been moved for ages, clean behind and under it (please do not do this if you will hurt yourself or you are pregnant! No injuries please!!)
    3. Clean a set of curtains/nets or blinds
    4. Finish putting away any Christmas things still out, decorations, baking things etc etc
    5. Clean 1 or more windows
    6. 30 minutes ironing, if you iron of course
    7. Deep clean the fridge, drag everything out, clean it out & wipe what is going back in.
    8. Spend 15 minutes tackling a cupboard/storage area you have been avoiding dealing with
    9. 15 minutes paperwork clearing, sort it and file it or fling it
    10. Give everyone at home a bag to collect the things which belong to them that are not where they should be, give them 15 minutes to find them all and put them away You could threaten to bin whatever is left if they don't seeing as everyones being quite ruthless this week
Priority will bespare room which student will use as its currently my dressing come junk room! Best get on .................
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    Morning all!

It's just taken me 2 hours to catch up with everything cos I've not looked since last weekend! Had my first full week as a teacher, and all has gone really well, although I've been absolutely shattered as there is so much to take in.

Happy belated birthday to Rach! Glad all went well in the end.

Hugs to all who need or want one.

I'm still in my nightie, and haven't had breakfast yet, so I'm off to find some in a minute, and then do some flying before doing my maths plans for the week, and the food shopping.

OH washed the bathroom floor yesterday, so that is one job done, but he didn't do any of the rest of the bathroom as asked, or repair the seal round the bath, so I'm not hugely impressed. He's also decided to paint the kitchen ceiling again without covering things, so I've now got to get rid of paint splatters all over the place! He isn't very good at clearing up after himself, even when doing things like cooking the dinner!

Well enough moaning, especially as I know these things are inconsequential compared to some of the problems people on here are having, so I'm going to bite my tongue now.

Take care ladies. I'll try to pop in at some point over the weekend, but I don't expect you'll see me during the week anymore now I'm working full time.

hello - can i join you? I know it's a bit late for this week but I plan to read back through the thread for inspiration. I have half heartedly followed flylady for over a year - maybe nearer 2 actually! However, I have fallen a bit by the wayside. I've been off sick from work for a while but hope to get back to it soon. In the meantime it's been a bit hard some days to actually get 'stuff' done. Luckily nothing has slipped too badly so it's a case of picking it back up.
On a more positive note, I have hoovered livingroom today and dusted livingroom + kitchen.
Still in PJs which is NOT a flylady approach.
Off to have shower and dressed
