All is well here in the heart of Devon. My children are sleeping and I'm being very selective about where my eyes land to rest (if I squint, I can't see the mess!).

That's the beauty of being shortsighted Maralum, all I do is take off my glasses then everything's in rosy, hazy focus - no need to squint! :rotfl:

The house is still a mess and I now have the exciting new edition of a very weird smell in the hallway - somewhere between the smell of old shoe and cat poo? Of course, it's perfectly possible that the cat did in fact poo in one of the old shoes, I'm just not itching to be the one who finds out.

:rotfl: :rotfl: Thanks for the first laugh of the day maralum!

I've an hour and a bit before I leave the house so I'm going to give myself a kick and get cracking. The livingroom is actually very tidy as I gave it a good 'do' after the tree came down so just a Dyson dance and wipe the muddy cat paws from the sills. I don't know if my mum wants to come up to the house before our trip or go straight from the station but I'm not risking it so a general tidy up is in order too.

Have a lovely day, dodge the raindrops and happy flying.

    Morning
Just nipping on for the list........
Will drop DD at school then come back, do as much of the list as I can manage in an hour, go around to my sisters (it's her birthday) then come back, get changed for work then get to work for midday.

    So, here's my list
    • make chilli con carne and put in SC for later
    • make lunch for DS before I go to work
    • really need to de-gunge the washer drawer but first do 2 loads of washing
    • clean living room windows

That was a seriously evil drive to work - heavy rain for a whole hour through winding country roads full of standing waters - it feels good to be at my desk!

Be careful out there today ladies

Good morning, my kitchen was beautiful yesterday for ooooh about an hour:rotfl: . I had it all lovely, but seeing as hubby was off work i thought we should go to B&Q to get a new kickboard for under the units(its been missing for about 6 months after WM repair man broke it:mad: ), so we got a new board(free) ;) and it looks lovely. But my nice clean kitchen is covered in a layer of sawdust:rolleyes: So need to redo all that today before i get cracking on the living room. :coffee: anyone?
