£10 e voucher for getting Yorkshire Building Society App - newbies only

I was glad I hadn`t downloaded the YBS App yet after receiving an email which offers an £10 e voucher for customers who haven`t downloaded the app.

"Download, register and log in to our app for the first time by midnight 3 August 2026 and we'll treat you to a £10 e-voucher. Choose from over 200 stores. Terms and conditions apply." 

Up to now I have always used online for YBS. It was an easy £10. Just go to their website for full method and T&C`s.

If you already have the YBS App I suppose you have nothing to lose by uninstalling the App and reinstalling it.

Indeed, unfortunately doesn't seem to trigger the freebie.

Likely to be invite only (I really should go and read the terms….)

It is not by email invite only. Just go to www.ybs.co.uk and the offer is on the home page. They state it takes a couple of days to get the email voucher. I downloaded the YBS App first time this morning so I cannot confirm the freebie yet.

I got the email too, I had the app installed previously but thought it was worth a try at re-installing! I'll see what happens.

Eligibility: UK residents 18+ with a YBS savings or mortgage account, new to the app, registered for online access and have a valid email.

Excludes: YBS employees, contractors and agency staff.

E-voucher sent by email within 3 days after 3 August 2026 if eligible from Simply.Thank.You@dotdigital-email.com

I doubt that deleting the app removes the information that you previously had registered for the app.

The only way I know of to remove this information is to tell YBS CS that your phone / tablet was stolen. Not sure this would be a particularly smart lie to deploy for a tenner.
