They asked for my personal income rather than household and as I only work part-time, it's not as much as the whole. I gave the details of our joint account and wonder now if this may be the cause of delay?
Most credit decisions are computerised and lenders give instant decisions and credit limits, provided that you have a good credit history and your ID etc can be verified electronically via the CRAs, which in turn collate data from public records.
That said, these messages are not uncommon and, as often as not, recipients get accepted a few days later
Very best

Nice one, thanks for your feedback.

Please note: this is a one-off fluke, unfortunately. You cannot transfer balances between cards underwritten by the same bank. (You would be paying them off with their own money.)
This table on the stoozing site (which is sponsored by Money Saving Expert) should help with future BT plans:

I notice that site shows the Paypal Card as being a GE card but I noticed my DD to my Paypal Card has now changed to Santander .Did Santander take over GE ?0 -

Is it possible to balance transfer from my son's Halifax One card (still in interest free period) onto my PO credit card, as he lost his job recently and has been drawing cash on it as well?
Thanks in advance. :mad:0 -

Yes, you can switch credit card balances from family, friends or Dave down the pub. You should be aware though, that the person whose card his balance is shifted to, becomes solely liable for the debt.
From the lender's perspective, it's not a problem. Customer services may ask for the name on the card, but this is purely an additional verification check. At the end of the day, the card company is after your business. They're not really interested in knowing who ran up the debt, as long as you, their customer, pay up on time each month!People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

And take the card from him ,make him tear it up or close the account so it doesn't get used .0 -
We took the card off him about a month ago when we found out that he had been using it for cash withdrawls (Stupid Boy) this as after both myself and his older brother warned him not to do it.
Also exploring the option of a personal loan in his name so that he still has the debt and has to manage it.0 -

Once the balance was shifted to your Post Office card, you could request a transfer back to his Halifax One account. He would incur a BT fee, but there would be no other charges during the introductory, interest-free period. Just a thought.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
Bank of Scotland all in one card has 3 months extra on purchases in my local branch (Greenock). So 12 months on purchases and 9 on balance transfers(3% fee I think).
