Could the electoral role be an address formatting issue. E.g. "Flat 3, ABC House, XYZ Road" being different to "ABC House, 3 XYZ Road".
Have you got an address that might be confused like this, or is it simply a house number and road with a matching postcode?
(And I agree about caps-lock!)0 -

That's a thought .I know that I have had issues in the past buying a mobile phone and it was down to me giving my address as 28 Xxxxxxxx St when the ER shows it as Flat 2/2 28 Xxxxxxxx St .I rarely use the Flat position as my name is on the door .
To OP.Check the ER and write down exactly how your details are shown .0 -
Does anyone know how long I have to switch my balance to an Abbey 0% offer if I don't do it immediately upon application?0

The current deal offers you 0% for 9 months from account opening but, irrespective of
what's stated here or anywhere else, it's the credit agreement you signed with Abbey
which countsPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

Yes but thats the length of time you get at 0% . What he was asking was how long he has to transfer a balance to his new card .It might only be a month .0 -

You seem to have misread my post. There's no time limit in this case.
That said, things change over time. I would advise the OP to check their paperwork to make absolutely certain it's the same as the deal currently advertisedPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

Richardt84 asked

I can't see how that answers his question0 -

The current deal is 0% for 9 months from account opening
not 0% for 9 months from account opening on BTs made within X days or weeks.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -

Right but it wasn't clear from the way you answered before that was what you meant . Even the Abbey site doesn't make it entirely clear but I presume this has been verified somewhere.0 -

The Abbey site looks clear and unambiguous to mePeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
