beanie - they look soooo contented!
Today I am grateful for a breezier day and lower temps (how mad is it when 29 feels cool???), for iced coffee, for cheese and onion crisps, for interesting chats with my tutee, for finding a bundle of perfect stuff on vntd for when dh finally retires from his school locking up job, for a gym buddy showing me how to use a new-to-me piece of equipment, for the honeysuckle being blooming fabulous in the back garden.

@beanielou - They are so comfortable on their bed. Hope you have one too. My cat takes over my bed during most of the day - and won't let me lie down. Big cat - almost 25 pounds. He usually wins any argument over the bed.

That’s my bed and they were on one side and I was on my side! That’s big for a cat.

Beautiful cats @beanielou 😺
Hot yet again, and more hot weather forecast for the coming week 😧
I find it is best to try to get things done in the morning, as it gets unbearable around lunchtime, and all I want to do is sit next to a fan with the curtains closed. Today I have done a small pile of ironing and some cleaning. Our new broadband contract necessitates a visit from an engineer tomorrow, apparently to lay new cable, and the corners / edges under furniture that might have to be moved were not fit to be seen. Probably he will ignore the areas I have cleaned and decide to lay his cables in an area I haven't tackled 🤔 OH reckons he will have seen worse whatever.
Also moved some pots around in the garden to better accommodate my mystery cucurbits. These were seedlings that germinated from our home made compost and may be either courgettes, cucumbers, melons or butternut squash, or some ghastly inedible hybrid of any of them. Anyway, two of the plants are making a bid for world domination, threatening to strangle other plants with their tendrils as they search for something to scramble up. I moved them to areas where there are structures for them to climb. The third one looks different and is smaller and slower growing, but is also showing signs of wanting to climb so I will need to find somewhere for that one too. Less urgent though as it appears not to be such a thug as the others. Looking forward to discovering what they will become!
I have taken a chicken pie out of the freezer for dinner, and will have to brave having the oven on for a while to crisp it up a bit. Not looking forward to that! Wonder if it will fit in the air fryer?

I was awake at 4 am and meant to get up and go outside before it got too hot but of course I fell asleep. Did do a bit between 8 am and 9 am and have brought in the washing that was dry. Another load was set off yesterday but they haven't made it outside. I went outside again around 7.30 pm and have been out for over an hour. I can barely stand up so a lot was shuffling along the side wall raised bed and chopping/ pulling at anything I could reach. 3 full bags for life have gone in the green bin followed by a small plate of collected food waste (1 bread bun, 1 banana and scraps from the corners of 3 dishes). Brought the towel in that has been out for maybe a week (it was on the far line and there was stuff on the floor). Brushed my teeth, had a shower and scrubbed my hands and nails.
Not at all sure I will be able to walk tomorrow but pleased with progress. Have bags to go in various other bins and some chopped down nettles to deal with (hadn't taken my gauntlets to the far side of the yard, so I chopped them very carefully and tried not to let them fall on me)
Grateful for a cool breeze, getting things done and my little wellies (they support my ankle)

@beanielou you can't beat a ginge unless you are lucky enough to have 2 ginges! They are 2 beauties.
My chap recently lost his Ginge (aged 19) and he still thinks he hears her padding across the kitchen. A few days later we were standing in his garden and out of nowhere a fluffy white feather floated down and landed in his palm. We like to think it's a special sign. 😺 💕

Well i could walk this morning, I just couldn't breathe. I went to the bins with bottles and paper. I put out a sheet, bath mat and a dress on the line. The sheet got thrown over the line and roughly pegged. The bath mat waas hung neatly and the dress was slung over the ols walker. The smaller items are still in the kitchen. My eyes and nose were streaming so I went back on the bed, resting quietly, with my CPAP mask to help me breathe. I put on sun cream and was ready for Coffee and Chat at noon.
We did a few quizzes, a picture round, true or false, Britain and geography. I got a couple of answers that no-one else did and have been co-opted into a team. I wasn't a high scorer (geography let me down and annoyingly there were some things I knew but the details escaped me). We were told we could take some of the colouring books home so I have one on mystic animals (lots already done). I handed back the library book I had found, picke dout a couple more from the discard pile and struggled back across the car park (no shade).
Rested again but went out in the yard later on. My legs wouldn't co-operate. Back to resting. Have had a shower, taken my pills and have my leg propped up.
Grateful for food from the fridge, lots of hydrating (lots of subsequent visits to the loo) and light entertainment on the laptop.
