Is there a safe and secure Android 13 emulator for Windows 10/11?
I have no great need for one but I do have a couple of mobile phone apps where it might
occasionally be useful to use my laptop rather than my mobile phone.
I am comfortable with mobile phone use but there are occasions where it is easier to type
and input data on a laptop rather than a phone.
I have a few Android only apps.
Hive, which controls our Central Heating and Hot Water. I might have left my phone
upstairs or in another room and it would be useful to be able to access Hive from my laptop.
Chip, a newly opened Cash ISA. Security is essential for this. I won't risk something that
is less secure than the phone app. I can access my banking and credit card accounts on either my phone or on my laptop but Chip is Android only.
I have googled and read about BlueStacks and similar emulators. It appears that it is easy to
inadvertently download malware etc. I cannot risk that.
Advice and suggestions please.
Thank you.

Almost certainly you won't be able to get Chip to run on any emulator; FS apps have built in controls to stop this kind of use. Even with Mac, which can natively run iOS applications now both phone and computers use the same chips, I've not found one bank that allows you to install its app on MacOS. Contrary to your thinking, phones are generally seen as a the safer environment.
Hive probably would run, but then you could also just go to my.hivehome.com and not mess about with emulation.
With Mac you have iPhone Mirroring, which will work with banking apps because it's actually still running on the phone. Windows has something similar built int hat works with Android I believe. A google suggests the phone must be awake and unlocked to establish the connection so may not be the fix you want

You can access your Hive devices via a web browser.
You will need your account login details and password.
I can't see the Chip app being happy run on any emulator.

Thanks both.
I had forgotten that I can access Hive from a laptop browser. Thanks for reminding me.
I will forget about Chip on the laptop as the mobile app works fine.
