Hello everyone, I am not sure if I am posting in the right place, forgive me if I am not.

I have been giving a ticket by the company who are monitoring the car park for my housing association, I have a permit to park in unnumbered bays but unfortunately there were no spaces available and I had no option but to park on double yellow line and placed my blue badge, the funny thing is the photos they have on file doesn’t show my dashboard where I have my blue badge displayed, instead the parking officer took the photos from distance, do you think I should appeal it or ignore it, if I do appeal what grounds should I be using in my appeal, your support of much appreciated.

Typical, depict DYLs as if it is a normal road where a blue badge holder can park, or someone can unload, but then hide the fact on a sign somewhere that you can't.

These are greedy scammers, and their incentivised employee, they are not "parking officers", will have taken the photos like that on purpose.

Start by complaining to the housing association and also do as @Jame4ters said above, also do you have photos of any signage on site?

hi guys, thank you for your responses, really appreciated, I have uploaded a photo of the PCN and I will try to take a photo of the sign in the morning and post it to you, I have been on their website to view the evidence they have on there as well, none of them has any close up photo to show that I have a blue badge displayed, I have previously ignored one PCN from them on my previous vehicle, they kept threatening and then sent online court order threatening that if I don’t respond to the court order they will place negative credit record on me, I was like no problem, I didn’t act towards the court order and so far my credit History is just fine; but this time has want your help to fight back legally with your help of course.

@Half_way, it’s a private land and they don’t want none residents to park I believe.

Are you sure it was a N1SDT claim form or just a letter before/of claim? Courts don't normally forget or ignore it if you fail to respond to a claim.

@Lee_Kirk I’m not sure about the claim you have stated but I will attach a photo of the claim here for you to check, it’s been 2 months now and I did not receive any letter regarding this claim, so I’m assuming it’s fake or they have no power with this claim, I don’t know but I’m sick of the law in this city, you have to pay 100s for silly things just because someone claiming they ask you money for parking ticket.

Now that I have sent you guys the PCN could you please advise how to go around with it, on what ground should I appeal it, any suggestions are well appreciated, many thanks.

"With an issue date of 17/05/26"

Issue date was 17/4 so they are months late defending.

"I’m assuming it’s fake or they have no power with this claim".

@ZiGZaG404 you are very wrong. This is a dangerous assumption: it will affect your credit rating when they request judgment.

Log into MCOL immediately and copy your Claim History here now!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi guys, I’m sorry for replying late as I don’t receive notification from MSE in my email, I have logged into the government gateway and created MCOL account and took a screenshot of the claim, and also the home page of my account showing no claim has been made.
